Josh Tisher says:

I like the surface install. I have a surface and a 13 sierra (w/o bose).
Any way to incorporate all into the surface for full control of the audio
system? Can I input a dvd player to the surface to watch videos along with
pairing my phone for internet connectivity? Steering wheel controls, etc.?
I want the surface screen, but want it to function as the head unit. I’m
installing 2-3 amps, crossover and 2 10’s. Is there an interface/windows
app that would work with GM? Any advice would be appreciated.

Daniel Clow says:

Ok when can you install the newer version in my 2014?? Yet, how much???

hulkhatepunybanner says:

Add a Microsoft GPS Receiver from Street & Trips. It plugs into the
Surface’s USB port and the cable can run under the dash to the base of the
windscreen.

A ScanTool Bluetooth OBD scanner can be configured so the driver can get
all kinds of performance and diagnostic information from the engine’s ECU.

In Washington state, your first dui may involve; an ignition interlock
device which costs about 100 bucks for install plus 100 bucks a month to
rent the device on top of monthly probation costs. All the while you’re
probably paying off a few hundred in court fees and a fine of up to five
thousand dollars. And, don’t be late for your rehab classes once a week at
least, that you have to pay for also.

Wish there was a place like this on the east coast.

Strike says:

awesome mod guys, only drawback would probably be the fact that there’s no
LTE in surfaces, that being said it’s quite easy to teather your phone /
another mobile hotspot device to it, plus with surface mini’s coming out it
should make your guyses job easier (guyses, hehehe)

awesome stuff

Luis Elguera says:

Yo Doug, great show. Was the Microsoft surface install permanent or was the
tablet removable?

My03Tundra says:

My oldest brother had to have one of those Drunk Boxes put on his truck. As
we was driving, he would have to blow to prevent his truck from turning
off.

Kenyel Dotts says:

I am in the process of putting in a surface pro in to a Audi a6 c5. In my
install I will be using a usb sound blaster pro sound card and aftermarket
amps (American base vfl 400.1 and a sq 925). My issue is how do you get the
unit to power on and off with the ignition?

Kenyel Dotts says:

Yes even though the surface pro has a 1.7ghz chip and the sound blaster pro
needs a 2.2 ghz to work (so they say) this works. This unit gives you the
use of 5.1 surround with volume mute control. Volume limiter EQ sum what
off a cross over and a little more. It has a clean crisp output for
multiple amps.

WE may have a project for +Eric Reasons and his F-150. Surface Install.
