In this video we somewhat start a mini series within a series on fixing all the oil leaks that this car has starting with the valve cover gaskets.

Great video. Original owner of a 2006 Solara, 3.3L. 92K miles TEXAS car. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

darkwing722 says:

Isn't the half moon there as part of the machining process for when the head is built?

Martin Stockel says:

When you are done driving my Rolls Royce I and sure would like it back. What an awesome vehicle. Perfection to the top level. That connector must have been fixed in a high school shop class. The coil holes I think should be covered with a rag, tape, etc., to stop some of the small parts falling in. A great informative video that was definitely worth watching to fill my brain with more of your professional repair work and explaining why. Thanks!!!

Ste says:

Hi wondering if you can help, does a 2018 prius suffer from oil burning issue ?

Randy Wilks says:

What is the best website to order OEM Toyota parts to have delivered to my house?

guzziwheeler says:

The orifices in which the half moons sit allow space for the spindle when machining the camshaft bearings. Cheers from Germany!

MOIZ MUGHAL says:

Sir can you help remedy my noisy valve lifters on my 2013 Honda City with 215k km

CyFi6 says:

I beleieve the half moons are just covering the hole used during the machining of the camshaft bores! Can you give us an update on the GSF?

Robert Bandusky says:

If resistance is good on coil, should I still replace them?

Reprisal Within says:

I'm convinced that this channel has preserved my low mileage tC's longevity. Love the 2AR videos. I would LOVE to see some more in depth information about the manual transmissions that pair with them. I've read about input shaft bearing issues. These rumors scare me.

Anyway, I also agreed with the idea of getting another used transmission. BUT, what if you put it in and IT has problems? I do doubt that will be the case, but just incase, what will be the course of action then?

ilike2watchdoyou says:

You are the Bob Ross of the Toyota/Lexus world.

rictic1 says:

Another great and very imformative vid. Thanks for all your hard work and time to teach us all about what we don't know.

Jeffery Hogan says:

For half a million bucks, can you get an option without the ugly airbag stickers on the sun visors?

Zak Moon says:

Proud Lexus owner here! and I can say that nothing beats the quality build and long term performance of my 2005 ES330!!! Amazing

Carol Hillard says:

Hi Ahmed, I’m still holding on to my 2002 Camry you look at last year, gotten several things done to it and it’s still running. It has ta P101 code solenoid B. I too like the big sedan feel and that’s why I want to keep it. I see you took a chance of buying a car from the auction like me. Now I don’t feel so bad.

jonnydwolf says:

When I did my ‘05 Highlander gaskets (V-6), I first used Felpro, blue color. I distinctly remember doing the job twice. Once to find out the felpro leaked. And the second time with OEM. The blue felpro tube gaskets did not fit quite right.

joey meyer says:

I live in wisconsin and was down by you when you were up here,

Your Gas was $4.99 WHEN I was visiting,

Why didn't you wait until you got in Kenosha off of exit 340
It was $3.71 at the Kwik trip???
Lol

Marjan says:

This project is going better and better with every new video. It put smile on my face very often. Thank you.
