James Rhoades says:

First off, great idea and thanks for sharing. Two ?’s…How easy is it to
fish this line through the head light assembly? and does having a
loose/free wire that is not tied down in the assembly an issue?

Kevin Cheng says:

Yes. It took a little while for me to realize that there are some narrow
spaces that the encased red and white wires could fit through, but I was
able to push it through the gap. You may want to try with a flashlight
and/or some looser, thinner string (floss maybe?) to find the gaps you can
jam the wires through. 3 months later…still working.

Sam's Tech Corner says:

thanks for guide! thanks!!!

James Rhoades says:

Kevin, where you able to fish it through your assembly easy enough?

luiss11111 says:

hello! how we’re you able to remove the ballast without messing with the
headlight itself? how does this help me? I currently have a little bit of
burnt contact in the connector itself. trying to fix it.

Kevin Cheng says:

This helped me immensely with replacing my ballast. I don’t really know
what I’m doing when it comes to cars, and didn’t really want to heat
gun/unglue/disassemble my headlight if I didn’t have to. Although my
connector is all busted up now from jabbing at it with the screwdriver and
pliers, hey…it works. Thanks.
