Is this the same for the 2004 Toyota Altezza?
hi
can show pls how to remove console & cigreatte lighter socket ?
Thanks for the video, very helpful really. I took everything out with no
problems and I have a Pioneer head unit I want to put in instead and I
couldn’t mount it onto the A/C mount like the original CD / tape deck, do
you have any tips please? thee’s only mounting holes on the side of the
head unit.
Can i ask… how is the screen visibility from the driving position being
at the bottom in the IS?
Yeah, thanks for this video man!!
The first thing I did when I got my Lexi was to replace the OEM. The CD
Changers are very unreliable. Easy to do and brings the car up to modern
standard.
This is not a IS300, as The IS 300 has it;s SATNAV at the Top.
You can have a sat nav in either the 200 or 300. In any case, the
proceedure is much the same. As I said in the video, this is a lexus IS200
Very helpful
Im trying to buy a IS with built in sat nav atm found a few but not many
about, but recently im wondering if its worth it when its so easy to fit
your own into the 2 din slot… plus im guessing the OEM one is not that
great and quite dated compared to today’s…
Thanks.
thanks man i did find a facia kit on lexus so i hope it will fit somehow
Hi, You’ll be needing an mounting adapter, single/double din available from
ebay. I bought mine quite cheap on ebay. This then bolts in place of the
orginal to the A/C part, then you’ll be able to put it all together. Mine
was a plastic bracket in black and included 3 front bevel sizes to suit
different head units. Good Luck
thanks, was strugling
my hero, cheers mate for the diy.
and one more question how did u do that plastic housing that it fits
It can be seen from every position ok, though from the back seat the gear
stick is a bit in the way. Also when your opening the player to insert a
disc the face slides out and nearly touches gear stick. Viewing angle not
the safest while driving as your taking ur eyes off the road too much.
very helpfull video…THANX!!!
i got a question i got the same car where did u get that radio ? i got that
old 6 cd player and its a pain in my ass
this helped a lot. thanks!
can’t believe how simple it is. I must try this 10 years ago
lol indeed it is was a pain. I picked that alpine unit out from a local
shop in Belfast, but its not there any more. Not only was it looks and had
the mp3/dvd but it also could match the orange dash which looked awesome.
The closest plastic housing I could find on the market to fit left it too
tight to eject disc so I had to get a bit creative with sandpaper and
heat-gun until it fitted just right. Once it was all put together it looked
perfect.
