Mike the Backyard Mechanic (not a real mechanic) works on his cars in his garage (not actually his backyard) and shows how to do repairs and mods, often not correctly, for your entertainment. Mike is not a REAL mechanic, he has common knowledge. My wife and I had a 2008 Lexus IS250 AWD looks very much like yours, that I got brand new 16 years ago, and it was my wife's primary car. After 16 years stuff is starting to go. I was telling her it is time to replace it, because we can either spend money fixing it or use that money towards a new car. She insisted on dragging her feet on this, when she was complaining about how small the trunk was. Early in February this spring I had to spend $1200 to do all the brakes, and the November before had to deal with some messy old leaks from the oil pan seal and crap. and then this July it was another $1200 for the alternator and battery, and it still had tires due. It was thousands of dollars that could have been put towards the new car…. reminds me of the story about frogs being boiled alive. Now she got the new car, she say she does NOT miss the Lexus…. really people….wtf?! Could have unloaded the thing and saved the money and got more for it sooner on a trade-in…. why?!!?!
Glad you are back . Congratulations on the new home . Looking forward to new ( adventures ) !…….
How exactly did this Lexus come to be haunted by Gregorian Monks ? Better check the Carfax and find out.
You didn't have to pull the motor to replace the thermostat?
LOL… Love the haunted money tour of the Lexus. And the characters via stick figures.

Happy to see that you didn't forget to include the cat in your video- even if it was only in an outtake.
He's the only thing that I really look forward to seeing… well, him and the dog.
I just bought a 2006 Lexus GS 300 at an auction. After paying $400 to get a key fob programmed for it, it would start then die. I towed it to a shop. They told me now the dash lights don't come on there might be something wrong with the fob. No, the door locks would work. Next day not even the door locks would work. Next day the drivers side window went down on its own. I think I'm gonna have to call the scrapper.
New old car means plenty of future content!
