Final Mechanical Repairs On The 600,000 Mile Lexus Project And a Look Inside The Engine

Final Mechanical Repairs On The 600,000 Mile Lexus Project And a Look Inside The Engine

We continue our 600,000 Mile Lexus Restoration Project with a very important moment! This is the final mechanical repair to the car!

We do start with some change of plans as I have been spending some time in the background investigating some of the final leaks. The transmission we installed last week has been behaving really well!

Up next is a small break from the project then into the craziest detail video you’ll ever see on YouTube! Huge shout out to @ChicagoAutoPros for working with us on this project. Subscribe to their channel as well as we’ll post joint content on this detail project as it starts in the next few weeks.

This attitude to work and work with oem parts to keep everything oem inspire me a lot! Thanks!

styledliving says:

I'm really looking forward to the detailing video!

Black Rifle says:

"…thank you very much to the one German engineer on the LS430 team…" To any guys who have wrenched on Bimmers and Benz', this is a savage observation and a well-earned one. Cheers!

jd hern says:

I really like when you give prices for the parts and jobs cost . I know it can be different in different places

Albert Sbarro says:

Was wondering if you are going to review the 2023 Toyota Crown

Busso1 says:

Nice work but consider this you could have packed the engine mounts on the sub frame to remove the oil pan and installed the new oil pan and then removed packings, just a suggestion , but otherwise a pleasure to watch.

Frank Dionis says:

Hello sorry for that but please maybe you can help me hopefully, I have Toyota Noah voxy 2004, my question is which best number of oil should I use and how many kilometers need change, My car is not brand new is second hand i buy from someone one year ago

jd hern says:

Great video

Jhonathon Jacob Badalof says:

I always see government auction 2001 Chevy Silverado's … for less than $3500 Mileage 135,000 … what woulod you say about the 1500 series?

zuki818 says:

I really love how you detail every single step you're doing and I thank God you have one tutorial of taking out the water pump for my Avalon thank you again God bless you

Arthurking83 says:

I highly doubt this motor is original, and hasn't been worked on. Look at the sealant goop on the upper oil pan. From factory like this? Doubt it!!

Travis Sheehan says:

I guess we just aren’t going to fix the leaking pinion seal?!

dlaitch says:

When turn signal is inadvertently left on a warning sound would be emitted after a time lapse. On a recent trip in my 2014 Corolla LE I noticed the turn signal lit up in the dash but
there was no noise emitted after 20 minutes or so. Is there a flasher relay in this car that emits the sound? Where is the relay located ? There is nil in owners manual of any help.

Jeff Walton says:

You have the patience of a saint – your videos are awesome. Just the calm demeanor of how you approach the work/issues. I wish I lived closer for you to do all the work on my Lexus LX / GS.

Bryan McCabe says:

You stood in a different place when you put the oil pan on, than where you stood when you rehearsed, lol

Azreal says:

600k miles and it has less rtv in the oil pickup than a 100k mile subaru

Walter Bowen says:

Bucket list oil pan drain plug made me laugh out loud!

BrianNC81 says:

I would run some Hot Shots Secret Stiction Eliminator through that engine for 2 oil changes back to back to get that engine cleaned out.

David Estate says:

Engine mounts are always hard especially on bigger engines in Sedan autos, unlike big engines in SUV. You are helping anyone that has this car that wants to work on it on their own and that is a great thing.

Chris Simons says:

I knew you were going to remove the baffle lol.
