In this video
It’s time to take apart the starter motor from the MGF and clean/service it’s components to get it working properly again
On this channel we prefer to Fix than replace
It’s more environmentally friendly and it keeps old good quality parts working
This starter motor for instance is the original to the car being from 1995
If it’s worked this long it will work for much longer with a good clean and service
All the parts required if needed can be easily found at Rimmer Brothers, the one stop shop for anything Rover/mg ,
Triumph,
Land Rover,
And many more
In our case just a good clean of the comitator and clean and oil of the shaft is enough to get this starter motor working again
These components like starter motors, alternators, and such like always end up being thrown away and replaced with less quality all be it new replacements
So please come along and help us get this video out there by Subscribing and giving this video a Like 👍
That way YouTube will put it in front of more people that might have similar issues with their starter motors
