I hope you changed the oil spinner too?
to change the fuel filter on my diesel defender 1995,is it simple to bleed
the system afterwards
What is the service interval for fuel filters? Every how many km?
Yeap the German hey, no messing. Seeing as VW like to have a vehicle
workshop like a hospital operating theatre then I am not surprised…
Are you using the lift pump to charge the filter.? Some have problems if
the pump lever is on the lift cycle. They think the pump is broken or not
pumping. I charge the fuel filter to save time…if there is spare diesel
about.
Land Rover designed engines typically have an oil filter that makes a
bloody mess. The BMW straight 6 in my 2.5DSE P38 has a cartridge type
fitted from above. Voila! No mess.
On a diesle engine the filter is always changed with the engine. Service
intervals depend on what the specific engien manufacture recommends and in
extreme conditions the intervals are shortened. Should say in the handbook
or workshop manual,
