Land Rover Discovery, horn and hazard lights not working How to diagnose an electrical fault

This was originally uploaded to my metal detecting channel, as I’ve now split things up and I’m now using this channel for automotive stuff, it seems appropriate to put this video on this channel. It was originally filmed about 2 years ago when my metal detecting channel was called “voyage of discovery”

Question for you – since you have the Landy WS manual – do you see a specific relay for Day Time Running Lights (DRL) marked ? what color is the relay / amps and its location ? I need to add a DRL relay to my 96'MY D1 – mine is a US model and Canada requires DRL for inspection and I believe there is a DRL relay LR installed for specific country requirements to enable DRL – Thanks for any assistance

Very nice video indeed!!! Thank you so much for recording and explaining each step. I learned a lot from it. I was thinking it would be really difficult to find that solder joint. I'm diagnosing a problem with my Disco1 and this video healped a lot.

Good video good tip with the halogen bulb. I have an 02 it’s giving me a hell of a fit!! I have the opposite problem I can’t get the hazards and horn to shut off. Also it won’t start I don’t think the fuel pump is working.

Very helpful, the join is 6" away from the hazard relay. It fell apart as soon as I found it.
