Christian Stenger says:

Whilst having the cowl off anyways you should’ve built a small cover to protect the blower inlet from water ingress through the mostly warped cowl seal.

Merry Christmas guys. Thanks for all your videos throughout the year.

The way to find the cause and the way to solve this problem is always very impressive.

Philip Shaw says:

Did it fix it?. I had the same problem, the water ingress came in near the top left of the screen, about where you had your camera focused at 3.30. I replaced the clips, put put the tape on as part of the course but it didn't fix it.I had a new screen fitted and it still leaked. I was still convinced that the leak originated from top left of the screen so I removed the front section of the plastic gutter trim. I noticed the faintest hairline crack in the paint that covered the seam sealer that sealed the roof sections. Putting some blue tac down stream of the crack I slowly poured water onto the crack, not allowing the water to pass the blue tac. That's where the leak was, I had finally found it. A generous amount of polyurethane sealant fixed it. I replaced the gutter trim and you would never know that I had been there. The problem was that the previous owner (who was a builder) had roof racks fitted at the mid and rear section of the roof and carried ladders etc on them. I think that with the uneven load spread over the entire roof space, coupled with only two roof rack cross beams being fitted ( one over the B pillar and one between the C and D pillars) caused constant flexing on the roof, which caused the tiniest of cracks to appear and ultimately cause the leak.

Fernando Sanchez says:

There is a upper locator pin and hole that also commonly breaks off, this was not sealed? I put 3m foam tape on mine when I removed and replaced the sealing clips.
