Minor Scratch Removal on a Lamborghini Murcielago

Minor Scratch Removal on a Lamborghini Murcielago

This is a somewhat quick video showing me removing scratches from a Lamborghini Murcielago. Oddly enough, these cars have some of the same orange peel issues…

Because some trolls need to be educated. It also keeps other trolls from trollin’.

deezomaxima says:

LOL Why are you replying to the trolls?

jaypo7 says:

Thank you for the reply I appreciate it. I’m out working on my car today using the ‘Junkman Technique’ 🙂 Scratches beware!

Junkman2000 says:

Because using sandpaper without a sanding block causes uneven sanding and digs in the paint. A sanding block ensure smooth and even leveling throughout the area in which you are working.

jaypo7 says:

Hi Mate, I’m new to your channel and really enjoying the videos… why must you use a sanding block with wet sanding? Is it just the simple need for a flat surface as opposed to finger tip pressure…. All the best!

Junkman2000 says:

That bid ass gouge was just as hard to see as the scratches were, only you would have to paint the car to fix that gouge. Since there were only 4 Lambo’s made with that paint scheme, painted the car would be a stupid ass idea. That would completely devalue the car. But since you don’t know anything about Lambo’s, I wouldn’t expect you to know this.

Cadmannn says:

Heh your worried about those little scratches???? What about that big ass gouge right above them?

Junkman2000 says:

Not unless you have some ‘women of entertainment’ waiting for me at the border. 😀

starcraft1710 says:

Junkman, I`ve been working on my truck removing scratches for 5 hours now and half way there. Let me say I have a new appreciation for professional paint detailers!! Keep up with great educational video like this for rookies like me. Any plans on coming to Canada for a visit and give me a hand…lol

Junkman2000 says:

Yea, you need to park your wallet until you have watched a lot more of my videos. By the way, I’m looking to buy a P. Mauriat System 76DK Soprano Sax, Vintage Series. That’s if I can drop that $2400 smackers on it.

Junkman2000 says:

You don’t want none! 🙂

egrylls says:

And if you ever bring that vette to Denver or Im down Kentucky way with my GT500, we’ll head to the track for a little fun 🙂

egrylls says:

Alto myself. Played on a Beuscher student until picking up a Yamaha YAS61, Selmer C* with vandoren 2.5 which I recently sold and kick myself almost every day for doing it. I’ll catch up on your vids for the product recommendations as I venture further down the rabbit hole. Ive been saving up coin for a SuperAction 80, but the more I play with the paint stuff, the more I want the PC7424, pads, etc…

Junkman2000 says:

I use to build gaming computers back in the 90’s. Finally gave it up. As a matter of fact, my favorite game is still Quake III Arena. I do like movies but I am more of a documentary man, especially on WWI and WWII. I find the Civil War very interesting too. You could probably name a thousand movies that I haven’t seen. The last movie I saw in a theater was with The Departed. That’s how far behind I am.

Junkman2000 says:

Two things. There are better products that you can get at your local Pep Boys or Auto Zone that are better than the Adam’s product that I used in these videos. No need for you to pay more than necessary for the products you need. Watch my paint correction for novices series. You can get those polishes down the street from where you live. Second, I majored on alto sax and minored on piano through a scholarship in college. Using bonnets is like playing a sax with a cracked reed. Not a good thing.

egrylls says:

Now this is getting way too creepy. I spent a little time in the Navy, have a degree in music ed, quit teaching to go into IT and yeah…working on cars is relaxing. If you say you’re into gaming and movies, then I’m pretty sure we were separated at birth.

egrylls says:

Haha. We know you’re yanking our chains, but the Range Rover was a POS when you drove it off the lot. How many blocks did you get before something quit working or broke off?

egrylls says:

Yup. Started with 3000 grit, then terry bonnets with Meguiers pro line. Im going to get some better tools this week because I’ve got some mustangs I need to paint correct/scratch repair. Having been trained as a classical sax player, I know all about technique trumps tool. I found out Adams has their HQ not far from home so Im going there to get the right tools. To see my F150 work, mustangforums, detailing, fixing bad scratches by wcgman (me).

Junkman2000 says:

Wow, you used a terry cloth bonnet?

egrylls says:

Well, I tried it like a real junk man 🙂 Used my cheap craftsman buffer with terry cloth, etc… and Meguiars pro products since thats all I could find on a Saturday around here and I’ll tell you what…in one of your videos you say “technique trumps tools” and it totally does. Following your techniques carefully and slowly, I removed major scratches and now it looks new! Thanks Junkman! If you’re ever in Denver, I owe you a beer at least!

Junkman2000 says:

Luck. 🙂

egrylls says:

Now I’m going to go f the paint on my F150 up! Wish me luck JMan! Thank you for sharing you knowledge and Im a perm subscriber now.

Junkman2000 says:

Yea, but that’s what happens when you drive a car. It will eventually get damaged. You can bet that it didn’t come from the factory that way. I can handle some paint damage if it means that I get to enjoy my car. I definitely ain’t going to save it for the next guy!

Christopher Smith says:

disappointing to see that defect in the paint above where you wet sanded…. You’d think for a 20,000$ paint job it would be flawless.

bigworm602 says:

cross hatch wet sanding i like that method even sanding detailing is art

Junkman2000 says:

You know what they say, if you have to ask…. 🙂

stilltipping3 says:

What did you charge this guy?

Junkman2000 says:

Catching the nail is EXACTLY what it says. If your nail catches at all, LEAVE IT ALONE.

mark gaudie says:

Thanks for the video Junkman, can you explain more about ‘catching your nail on a scratch’ does that mean that you shouldn’t be able to discern the scratch at all by touch? or is catching the nail a more pronounced scratch? Thanks

Junkman2000 says:

Thanks for watching. 🙂

Alexmagic1000 says:

I enjoyed watching the clouds on the reflection on the top pretty nice!

Kev Wilding says:

at 27 seconds their is a horrible defect in the paint (top right)

ahahah and they complaining about the measly scratches

Junkman2000 says:

Now you can’t diss my bro’ Big Dave!

JaredHasNoBrain says:

Picking up a door bonnet from a scrap heap so I can learn a bit, Good vid!
Was expecting “Big Dave” not to be so…. white and have perfect teeth I lol’d

Junkman2000 says:

Too late. I fixed it.

avenger25 says:

Dont bother with those two slight scratches…
This panel is clearly repainted and it was awfully done!
You can see dents and dust in the clear coat and even beyond…

Other than this, keep the good work Junkman!!

Junkman2000 says:

Not the best but it does work if your situation is not too bad.

mlgjake09 says:

adams polishes is the best!

Junkman2000 says:

Got to have fun. The next hour is not guaranteed so I live them all like my last. Thanks for watching. 🙂

Junkman2000 says:

Thank you, yes I am. I am self-taught in quite a few fields. At one time, I played 13 different musical instruments. I was a scholarship music performance major the first time I attended college. It seems like everything I seriously get interested in comes very naturally for me. Like you said, I’m blessed. My father did this kind of work for 40 years but I never took an interest in it until after he died. Imagine how much I could have learned from him.

mynsxt6 says:

Love that sinister laugh after big Dave inspects the Junkman’s work, you are the best at making these videos Junkman, always teaching and having a ball at the same time!!!!! God Bless!!!!!

mynsxt6 says:

How did you get to do this, while not being a paid professional in this field? You are truly blessed by God

Junkman2000 says:

Make sure that you watch my PC-7424XP videos before you buy anything.

Darryl Wesley says:

im on the same level as Parker Slade.. i was watchin you and the thing i like bout it is you taught me stuff that i didnt know and i know how to detail. i like the fact that you go in different directions wit the sandpaper. i came on here cause i wanted to see how the flex buffers are and the way you used it makes me wanna buy one. thanks for the video and i will watch more!

Junkman2000 says:

Which polisher are you using? You have probably removed a lot of precious clear by now.
