You shape the exhaust ports to minimize overlap on a bridge port?! I may be
being trolled here and not getting the joke but the bridges basically mean
100% overlap regardless of exhaust port closing timing. That’s um, one of
benefits and side effects of the bridgeport. And then later in the video
clearancing is shown because the customer likes high RPM, so attempting to
eliminate overlap really doesn’t make any sense because that’s what’s going
help make that high RPM power.
awesome video, i love your in depth videos with engine builders and
narratives, showing the portwork and many internal parts of a rotary i did
not know existed, also filling alot of blanks, thank you for taking the
time! as always!
Vaseline
Fantastic video! I think this is a great addition to your channel, straight
forward, easy to understand and to the point. I really hope these videos
take off. Great work and thanks!
Would it make sense to tape off the rest of that plate while you are
machine the port so you don’t accidentally scrape it up?

HOW I HATE THIS ENGINE…..AHHHHHHHH!!
the dumb German of jap on knees inventor stole a air pump or water pump
from some minion and add sparks with gasoline…rofl.
This was very cool! Never knew how these motors worked. Thanx.
Very Helpful
NAO RASPA O PAQUIMETRO ASSIM ….VAI FERRAR A CALIBRAÇAO DELE
Someone tell me if I’m correct. every single rotor is like having 3 power
pushes per rotation .so this motor is like one super high reving 6 cyl.,
Can can u turbo them , instead of porting it ?
how much power does it make? and no turbo?
Dude is that engine still running ??? Haha the water seal is missed place
and u pinched it with the plate
Nice video, thanks!
However – for clarification to anyone not aware…
When installing the oil control rings into the rotor, the notch side not
only needs to go down, but the notch must align with the squared tab end of
the spring.
You were clear about the other side – the rounded end of the spring being
positioned into one of the small holes in thew rotor, but you did not
mention the notch needs to align with the spring as well.
Thanks again for sharing!
man rotary engines are cool, I so need to try one of these babies out!
Thanks for sharing this.
Brilliant Video !!!!
Having only worked on piston engines, this was very enlightening. I had
basic knowledge of the internals of a rotary but now understand what makes
a 2 and 3 rotor engine. You just gotta love the simplicity of it all. BTW,
nice RX-3, as it is known here in the States.
good video
hey man u fuck up the inner seal of the housin on the first one when you
put the two together
I mean what’s wrong with you guys.. sick engine sick sound, but how come
you like shitty looking car like those…
Please make more instructional videos like this, I think these videos
provide a lot of in depth technical information for motorheads like myself
Is Vaseline, absolutely necessary? Or is it just your preferred assembly
lube?
Great video. Nice to see a motor put together and explained how and why it
was done.
Brilliant vid 🙂
What the hell does TDC mean in a rotary though?
I really enjoyed that and it sounds amazing
Is bridge porting any good? Why not do extended port?
that was one of the best things I have seen on YouTube for ages.
Have you guys got any other porting videos
How did you degree the cam? How many angle valve job did you perform?
What is the ratio of the rocker arms used? Sounds like a mean V-8. :-)
This was absolutely the best video so far!! Great job!
23:06 thats so fucken cool ha
Great Video! certainly it cleared a lot of questions I had.
Great narrative, Thanks for even showing how it runs…
definitely I’m going for a bridge port sound!
One simple question, how you addressed the OMP removal?
I didn’t see it on the front cover, are you mixing gas and two stroke oil?
