What is an oil catch can? Do oil catch cans actually work? What do oil catch cans do? Can oil catch cans prevent carbon deposit from building up on intake valves? In This video I explain why your KIA needs a oil catch can, demonstrating how they work, and a brief illustrations about PCV systems and valve deposits.
Oil catch cans are placed between the PCV valve and the port on the intake manifold, allowing for the oil catch can to remove any oil/ oil vapors that would otherwise end up back into your intake manifold and worse valves, which can cause gunk deposits to form on the intake valves. Therefor decreasing the life span of your engine and reducing the power of your engine.

I took my Kia to Kia service and they didn’t tell me anything for my catch can. But I have to change the hose because the one it came with was bending bad and cause my to look power. So it’s good to know the size, I’ll go to the store later and pick up some 3/8th hose and install it again.
