It turn out to be wiring problem..
one other thing you might want to check is the cooling fan relays..engine
computer could be trying send a signal to the fans to turn on but the stuck
relays can get in the way and stay stuck..
I had the same problem but the motor was not getting hot. The gage would go
all the way into the RED. I ended putting another ground wire from the top
of the intake to the fire wall. No more false readings.
