Correct. Maybe the V6 model is different from the 4 cyl.

hmm this is confusing…
Every other video of a Curt hitch requires that the heat shield gets modified.
But you didnt need to and you have a Curt hitch?

Is that a YZ125?
I installed the CURT 13073 hitch on my Sorento LX 2013 from this video. Thanks for helping me consider this hitch. Couple of pointers
1. You need to trim the shield to make it easier to fix this without getting some power tools and jacks involved.
2. Put in all the bolts before tigthening any one side.
3. its easy after you trim and get all the bolts in and then tighten them all. The spare may fix a little tight after this but thats fine.
Good Luck. I got the just the hitch for $129 at amazon.
Not at all. Might depend on the hitch brand.
The instructions state that you have to trim the heat shield. Did you have to cut the heat shield ?
Thanks
Mine said it was required as well but it wasn’t. Crawl under there and check her out. The hardest part is just holding it up there after you drop the muffler.
LOL.. Wife didn’t want a truck :(.
I don’t think I’ve seen that one. Can’t wait to see it!
can wait to see it….that’s a quite interesting carrier ….i have the add a bike with the arm in the middle and the foot peg holder .. i will also make a video soon
Ultimate MX Hauler.. I’ll make a video on it this weekend more than likely.
I know! I put one on a vehicle years ago with only about 30k on it and it was a royal pain. I was so glad to get this one put on before the winter!

i know that if it did need one id make one just to save money
Don’t need any, it’s just for a dirtbike hauler (not a trailer). Like a bike rack
You were lucky on installing on a fresh vehicle. I installed a hitch last year on my Liberty and I spent about an hour chasing the holes with a tap before the bolts would engage without any binding.
personaly id make my own wering loom for it
hi wish dirt bike carrier do you have????
