Awesome that you are learning on the jeeps Tommy. I learned on my 46 when I was 15 rebuilt it from a $200. pile I pulled out of the woods with a tree growing through it. Never really got greasy before that and rebuilt the whole thing myself and drove it to high school. Pretty much learned from reading 4 wheel and off road magazine for 3 or 4 years before that. Lots of fun. You could have rebuilt that t-90 its like a greasy lego set. The simplest transmission ever and plenty of videos on it.
This is great! I fixed up a 1943 GPW back in 1986, but never had to do this much fixing!

Ways to do things: Spend money to have someone else do it, spend time to learn to do it yourself, or (what always happens) spend time to try to learn how to do it yourself but only learn that you can't or don't really want to and end up spending money to have someone else do it anyway.

Tommy, May I suggest you find a class to teach you how to weld, this is a skill you will use countless times. It took a few jeeps. to get one, enjoy every second of it.

The bell housing cracks? depending on how bad they are, you might be able to repair them. i have a video on that.
Nice. Instead of buying a Mahindra Roxor, you can use an original one around the farm. Maybe a future video comparing both?

I have lost part of my hearing using grinders with no hearing protection. I am sure your ears rang after grinding that. Goggles are good. They keep the dust out of your eyes. And you can wear them over glasses. I just spent my whole day welding on a 1943 GPW. MIG welding is your friend with sheet metal.

I'm not trying to make fun of you or anything, but I am waiting to see what you don't know this time around. I was quite shocked at the last video, when you didn't know what some of the basic parts of the engine were called, but I also remember that everyone has to start somewhere and I, too, was once lacking in that knowledge. The main source of my surprise was "How can you run a car channel and not know anything about them?", but after some consideration I realized that I apparently merely have a 30+ year head start on you, and you ARE indeed learning. So no, I will not rag on you for that. Like Cheech said in Ghostbusters 2 when the ghost Titanic docked in NYC, "Better late than never."

You're rolling, and taking the rest of us with you. Well-done. I would pull those wheel bearings out, clean them and pack them with proper bearing grease before driving very far.

Kudos, Tommy! Impressive. And, boy, wiring gives me anxiety.
13:33. You used the wrong kind of grease. Anything that will pass through a grease gun is too light for wheel bearings, which must remain lubricated even when the seals are leaking. Wheel bearing grease comes in a can and is very thick. You apply it by spreading it on your palm and scraping it off with the edge of the bearing. Some also use a special bearing applicator that forces grease into yhe bearing through lever action.
