This is how i replaced the rear drive shaft U joint on my 1994 Jeep Wrangler. This was the U joint near the tranny with a 3.5″ yoke. As you can see in the video the needle bearings were completely worn out. Hope this helps you out. Keep on Jeepin”!!

Thanks for watching JeepSolid. I am not a certified mechanic, just a hobbyist who enjoys working on Jeeps.
Nicely done, informative and exactly what I was looking for. I'm ready to tackle the joints in my TJ. Many thanks for the vid, bud.
I didn't know you had to balance it, mine was already off and hanging down the u joint snapped off while driving.
Made that look way to easy lol
Hey, I have a 93 yj and recently noticed a clanking noise from the rear driveshaft area when I'm coming to a stop. The u joints seems to not have any play. Any idea what it might be??
Excellent excellent video!!! I did hit the subscribe button indeed. You forgot to explain why you duct taped one end. Also, really glad you mentioned to grease the fitting once It's installed, because I was under the impression these things come pre greased.
Finally found a good video on how to do the job!
subscribed, solid video. to the point and informative. at the end though, it would be good to mention checking the level of the atf in the transfer case, not the transmission.
Very thural instructions I saved to my favorites . Do more if you can .
Maybe thermostat or water pump .
Excellent instruction, thank you!
Great video. You make it easy. This is my next project
thank you for the how to looks simple enough. are there 2 ujoints on the shaft? or just the one you replaced? thanks again
