Hey guys. Some comments: 1) This excellent video does NOT cover the
pre-2012 Jeeps since they all had a “spin on” filter located at the front
of the engine and facing forward toward the radiator and fan. 2) The 2014
filter is NOT the same as the 2011-2012 cartridge.
Ok, I know it’s the drain plug. I was trying to be helpful to customers.
I also know it is the lowest point. My Jeep tech friend says the valve in
the 2014 filter does not let all the oil out of the filter until the
tension oon that valve is relieved when the filter is removed. Then 2014
is different from the 2013 and some oil change companies have not yet
heard.
great video!! very helpful
thank you
Hi guys, thanks for the awesome video. I’ll be able to do the oil change
myself.
But I have a question, what size socket do I need to remove the filter? I
don’t think I have anything that big, I’ll have to buy one. Thanks
