That works fine for that zipper problem, but what about if the zipper teeth
cross-zip, meaning if you get two teeth jammed into one spot on the
opposite side and the zipper won’t zip or unzip past that spot. Don’t ask
me how it happened, but it did.
Thank you! I used this to fix the zippered window on our 1994 Mazda Miata
convertible and it worked perfectly!
What exactly does ‘reshape the slide’ mean? Are you just pinching the zip
slider with pliers to tighten them, i.e.: from the top down to tighten the
grip? Thanks!
Absolutely works like a charm! Frustration Ended!
Glad this short video has been helpful!
The best way I’ve found to fix that is make sure the zipper is clean and
lube it up. Vegetable oil works fine, a wax works even better. Even
something like Chapstick. You pull the zipper away from bound area and zip
it away from there, apply slight pressure to the “bound” part of the teeth
(kind of pushing them together) and gently tug at the zipper until it goes
past it. One part will likely be open and the other part is closed. Zip
fully up and around and back it will zip correctly.
Thanks for the quick reminder. My rear window’s zippers weren’t doing their
job at all. I gave both zippers a bit of a squeeze with pliers and the
zippers are back to normal. That and adding some PB Blaster.
