If you do the reset, is there any data, any information, anything that you may lose, and endup having it toed to a mechanic afterall? I only lose power to my radio/clock once in a while. It goes completely dead. But then next day, it works like a charm, as if nothing ever happened to it. Although, I do have issue with the built in CD player. It has mind of its own. It spits out the cd, whenever it is not in a mood.
That is wrong 2018 in higher, you cannot clear the codes that way because of the gateway it blocked you from scanning. The vehicle module says no communication you can’t do no fuel trimmer sets. Nothing you have to have a special connector to go in the gateway side of your vehicle and your scanner has to be connected to the internet in internet access. Then you purchase the gateway connector. They will plug into the scanner and then you plug in the two ports underneath the dash on a 2018 and higher Jeep Wrangler Dodge RAM is the same way is only way you will clear codes, reset modules and communicate with them. You cannot go through the diagnostic connector because it will say no communication online connector is $16.
Can you do the battery discharge and keep the tipm unit in the vehicle?
So I replace my new box or just put the old one back in

I watched a very informative video. My Jeep Wrangler CRD 2.8 started behaving strangely. The lights went out, the turn signals stopped working, and then the wipers started working on their own. I’ll reset it as soon as possible
We recently installed a new battery in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler X, but now the horn, wipers, and headlights are continuously running. However, the vehicle’s dashboard doesn’t light up, and it won’t start. Could this be an issue related to the TIPM?

Having issues with my wipers they just stopped working after a very cold spell with ice and snow. I replaced the windshield motor and switch but still nothing. Not getting power to the motor. The fuse is good could it be the TIPM and the relay is hosed?
I have a 2017 jeep wrangler sahara and the wipers will not park you can sht them off and they will stop wherever they are at no park could this be the problem? Thank you
I have a 2008 Jeep wrangler and the cooling fan quit working. The fan relay is good but it seems that whatever tells the relay to close is not happening or i wondered if it’s something to do with the TIPM. Thanks

Excellent video, UpFix !!!! May I add one recommendation for, actually any car owner these days; NEVER ever use a POWER WASHER to clean the engine bay area, especially do not get the TIPM or any other fuse box or wiring harness wet. None of the connections were ever made to withstand the extreme pressure water jet delivered from a typical power washer. Also, a product called 'DeOX-IT' spray is excellent in preventing corrosion and providing a little lubrication to to those plastic electrical connections and fittings. It's good stuff!!!
Question! 2018 jku – started not wanting to crank (3 times in one month) but it would if i let it be for 10-30 min. Thought it was heat soaked. Took it in to check it out and they said my tipm was going bad based off my "fan coming on without reason. And the Jeep was starting fine and couldn't reproduce what I was explaining to them." I said I wanted a second opinion after a quote of $1600. Well, 2 days later she wouldn't start back up after driving/starting all day just fine. Had to tow it and he said it's just my starter. How can they tell the tipm is not the reason for the starter not cranking? Is this a chicken and egg scenario?
