sucks mine doesnt have the one piece bezel. I have one by the steering
wheel and by the stereo and cant seem to get the stereo one off. But the
run for the amp was amazing. now if i can get to the deck. +1
It was a #15 torque star if I remember right. Thanks for watching!
@juveed94 Make sure your fuse is in and not blown. Also make sure the
ground is good.
Hey im 17 just got my first car in Jan. and its a blue 96 cherokee, im
looking to change the stereo and just wanted to let u know your video
helped a lot 🙂 Really glad i found this video thanks… seems like u can
find a video for just about anything on youtube now a days lol
will this work the same for a 98 jeep cherokee sport?
Don’t worry man I got it all to work. But your wiring came in handy
@Dwq47 That’s a bummer. Thanks for watchin’ the video!
It’s good to see someone actually takes some time to make it look good…
Nice job man
Thanks for this, I couldn’t figure out how to get it Off over the steering
wheel, it’s weird as I’m from Australia, everything is on the opposite side
@Rjellycrf I’ll have to go back and check my video files to see if I have
some good footage of the wiring. Thanks for watching!
It would be a little different because the dash completely changed styles
in 97. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thanks.
my old front speakers and one my tailgate speakers stopped working on 1996
jeep cherokee classic .. and i installed 2 kicker 5 1/4 on the front doors
and they dont work ? only one works from the taligate area… could it be
the radio?
all i wanted to see was where you grounded the amp! wtf, So…..Where did
you ground it?
does the factory wiring have 2 plugs
Thanks for uploading this. I had no idea where to run the + cable through
the firewall. Installing a system on a 240sx and a jeep are completely
different lol. Thanks again man
Hey Thanks for watching! I just ran a lead to the driver chair bolt after
sanding some of the paint off.
That will depend on the stereo you have. You should be able to find a wire
diagram on line for your board. Thanks for watching.
The stock board had it on it. If you have a different board you may not
have the same one.
this video is absolutely awesome!
@TheJ20jeepster Yeah mines bigger and harder to reach… I couldn’t get it
out. Looks like I’m just gonna have to have it drilled.
Thanks for watching! Find a good wiring diagram for your 98 will be the
most help. If you have money to spend you can buy an adapter so it makes it
pretty much plug and play for the board. Make sure your grounds are making
good contact. Also make sure you have the suggested wire size for your amp.
Hope this helps! Have fun!
Great video!!!!! i couldnt figure out how to get through the firewall and
this video u found a way. thanks alot.
P.S. i have a 91. i think everything should match?
How did you get that rubber stopper thing off at 1:57? I have a 98 grand
cherokee laredo that I’m trying to find a way with my power wire from the
battery to the inside of my jeep…
Sweet! I watched the video too late, already hacked up my Jeep! J/K, check
out my 96 Cherokee videos. 6-12″
@14crazybass yeh what i decided to do is just get one of those radio
transmitters u hook up to ur mp3 and u can use different radio frequencies
to play the songs right off ur mp3…Its a lot cheaper to just do that too,
but now my stereo isnt even working for me to do that! lol i’ll figure
something out so im not worried 😛
Why thank you! It must have been helpful I take it!
I have a 98 sport, I plan on doing this tomorrow, any tips?
@rillir09 I did, I was going to put it under the back seat but the amp I
had was to big.
