josh smith says:

Thanks for the information!!!!! I’m gonna try that out!

Eric Smith says:

This does not only happen in the Wrangler, but the Cherokee as well.

sgrho1992 says:

So I have a 2018 Sahara. They just ordered me a dampener. After watching this I feel it’s wasting my time. Not sure why they didn’t just order a new track bar which is what the recall is for.

Jason Rynes says:

I had HORRIBLE death wobble on my 06 TJ. Steering damper was blown. Replaced it and about 2 weeks later was blown again. Replaced. 2 weeks later blown again. Turns out my passenger front tire was unraveling from the inside and a ball of mesh and rubber formed inside tire causing imbalance.

Jay Armstrong says:

Great video explaining the dreaded death wobble. This problem is even worse on TJs.

brett fausone says:

hope u didnt do this video cuz of litebrite fake behind

Grumpy ol' Boot says:

Nice video, short and to the point.
Thanks for sharing it. 🙂

nick grandy says:

Also, check your alignment after mods… lol… this is critical…

nick grandy says:

Let's face it people… for the most part, the only people who are complaining of this and can't figure it out are pavement princesses… if your an off roader you get it… if you're not, then how the hell would your ball joints and or other components be that worn unless of course you have a shit ton of miles and shit is just worn… but as a jeep tech, my guess is most of the people who complain about this problem are pavement pounders who lifted the vehicle as cheap as possible and expect a Toyota Camry… it's not that complicated, I'm telling you…

NHseacoast says:

I’m thinking about getting JL. Is this death wobble confined to jeeps with lift kits and huge tires? Not a great selling point if the wife catches this video..

赵紫恩 says:

I also love the JL because his grill has changed the way I like it.I prefer the black color.Looks more mysterious and noble. It is a pity that there are very few JL modified decorative parts on the market. However, I found a store with good quality. I don’t know if there are any friends who share the same feeling or need it.https://www.ebay.com/itm/202381521639

Imall Crawl says:

I have 10.5" of lift with absolutely no death wobble:

Shane Hagen says:

2018 and you goofs can’t figure out how to ship to Canada ? I assure you DHL UPS Puralator. All ship to Canada. Pay the duty on arrival. That’s bush league bud. Not sure how you guys make it through the day without shitting your pants if you can’t ship a couple bumpers and headlights to neighbouring country. Pew pew. Murcia

Saks Place says:

Good video to show how death wobble looks, but there are many reasons to cause it. I rebuilt the entire front end on my son's 2000 Cherokee, even replaced the steering box, still had the DW. Had the tires road forced balanced at Discount tire. Helped, but still had it. It wasnt until my son ditched the All terrains and put on some heavy lug mud tires that it went away. Guess the AT tires were the cause the whole time

The Martian Prepper says:

After replace the ball joints without solve the problem I replaced stearing stabilizer with a heavy duty one and the problem is gone.

Joe Stacks says:

you didn't ever mention ball joints or the other steering joints. these can cause death wobble as well. smh

fourbypete says:

You didn't mention 1, Loose ball joints particularly on older JKs with stock ball joints. 2, cracked knuckles around ball joints. And 3, The bottom pan-hard rod bracket on the dana 30 axle housings sometimes can have cracked welds. You need to know what to look for there. I personally just upgraded my front axle to a Tera44 from Teraflex and installed a steering box stiffener which has improved the handling. And more importantly no more death wobble.

Ho Lee Phuk says:

Death wobble is a term Jeep enthusiasts took from motorcyclists. If get a wobble on a bike at 70mph it could mean imminent death. A steering wheel shake in 4000lbs steel cage at 30mph is hardly a true 'death' wobble.

Brian Johnson says:

Can I order Wooblelometers from your site?

Rubi Fourxfour says:

Why are you running your track-bar upside down? I see there is a lot contact on your front diff cover.

Connor Hoelscher says:

i had death wobble in my 09 jeep and just had to get a new steering stabalizer
