How to “Stealth” Install a Midland GMRS Radio in a Jeep Wrangler JK JKU

Welcome to Kit & Gear!
Dell here. While overlanding, I often find myself in many back country places without cell service, so I wanted to install a two way radio in my 2011 Jeep, JK Rubicon. After looking at all the options, I decided to go with a Midland, Micro Mobile, GMRS two way radio. The model that I selected (MXT275VP4) has all of the controls incorporated into the microphone, allowing me to do a “stealth” install by hiding the radio head unit under the passenger seat, leaving only the microphone visible.
In this video, I walk you through the installation, every step of the way, sharing tips, and yes, even a few mistakes. If this sounds like something that you would like to add to your Jeep JK or JKU, give this video a look, and if you are a gear junkie, like me, then please hit the SUBSCRIBE button, and together we will review and install some of the coolest kit & gear available for our favorite overland vehicles.
