How To Install Jeep Wrangler Alternator (2011 JK Model)

How To Install Jeep Wrangler Alternator (2011 JK Model)

A very quick video from Dev and I on removing and installing the alternator on a 2011 Wrangler Sport Unlimited. The process takes roughly 15-30mins for someone knowing what they’re doing….and not more than 45mins for someone NOT knowing what they’re doing.

The tools list is simple, as seen in the video. My battery had a 10mm bolt, so snag a 10mm wrench if yours is the same. That’s the only tool I didn’t mention in the video.

My on-dash volt meter is from Super Chips. Coolest diagnostic and display meter, I’m telling ya!

Good luck, and don’t let an easy-fix alternator be the reason you’re walking home in the middle of the night. Well, you could always Uber me to save the walk, but you know what I mean! Lol!

Thank you for you help! I got it in, but my Jeep won’t turn over. I'm guessing the old alternator drained the battery. Regardless, I feel great about my new learned skill of installing an alternator!
