Wow this is a way bigger process then I was expecting. I was going to order
one of these soon for my lifted xj but I’m not sure that’d Id be able to
put all this back together properly lol
How To Install an SYE – A Comprehensive Guide
Great video.
Hey Mat I’d like to join the bleepin jeep team. My channel has some of my
XJ videos. Next one will be rock sliders and unibody stiffeners. Let me
know what you think! @bleepinjeep
it’s refreshing to see someone who makes small “boo-boos” but leaves them
in and makes corrections. Too many YT-ers edit it out to make themselves
look like know-it-all d!ckhe@ds. Don’t change your ways.
So, if we want to contribute off-road videos to the channel, do they have
to be jeep specific, or can they feature a variety of vehicles?
Awesome vid. Looking at doing this my XJ in the near future =)
Can you please explain how your steering works since you tapped it for
hydraulic steering
This video is a perfect example of why I love this channel. Thank you so
much for the upload. Fantastic content.
i noticed you put tranny fluid in there i did my chain last year and i used
gear oil in mine , it had gear oil in it from the previous owner just
assumed thats what was suposed to be in there never had any side effects
from it put another 70k miles on it befor it was totaled in a wreck a few
months ago
Matt, What is the idea behind changing the housing and putting in a longer
drive shaft??
Great timing Matt. I was just about to do an SYE on my 2000 xj. It was
going to be my video submission. It’s ok though because I’m doing a head
and gasket replacement on mine due to a cracked head (0331 casting). I
think that can be my video submission then. Keep doing what you are doing.
This is the best YouTube channel for anyone that has an XJ!
Just to clarify – the stock drive shaft won’t fit correct? I have ~4.5″ of
lift and want to put a sye but would need a new correct length rear
driveshaft right?
would a front drive shaft work in the rear?
Why the RTV on the yoke and Yoke nut ?? Just never seen that step before
?? Thumbs up for ya though …
Left or right threads on pinion on the slip york
this is easily the best channel on YouTube!
Little lost. Why would i want this?
Helps a whole lot if you put the barrings in your freezer because metal
shrinks in the cold but just leave in in there for an hour or two then it
just slides in no hammering needed
Sweet timing; my SYE is supposed to be delivered today and I was going to
search if you had an SYE video anyway.
Hack-n-tap all the way! lol
Great detailed video. If I go this route on my next build I know where to
find good info. Keep up the great work and videos.
Ultra black RTV ! Not only does it look better it works better than that
orange copper crap and you can use it for alot of different applications.
This is perfect, Im ordering my SYE next week. Thank you!
“Bombproof” from RC is a bold move, let’s see how it plays out cotton!
Please do a rear main seal video!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
Could you do a oil pan install?
rc sucks
