Product looks great, but how about we make a product that doesnt require
grinding of washers ? How about we make the hole on the mounting box a
little bigger ? Honestly I’d buy these in a second if that were the case.
REMOVING BOLTS I got to a point where some were just spinning. It wouldn’t
pull up or down but it would rotate and free spin. I ended up pulling with
a good amount of force down on the washer while ratcheting them off.
INSTALLING BOLTS Bolts not going in? I took the socket and extender out of
the ratchet and taped it a couple of times with a rubber mallet The washer
can get super hot when grinding it down 18 Socket with extender (3/4″ is
technically a 19mm but will work) Tighten to 80 ft/lb
Should have had more video of what they look like on the jeep after
installed!
i thought they should be welded… if there is a place to weld them..
If you look there is loctite on the screws from the factory an just run
them till there tight it’s not rocket sciences let’s not over think this ppl
They sell weld on rails as well. Check out their website:
The bolt and washer are already on your Jeep from the factory that your
using. The washer is connected to the body bolt.It will not come off but it
will spin.
Dont ever waste your time with bolt on junk weld on is the only way to go
if you ever plan on using them.
80 ft/lb is what Adam replied on the “Wrangler Forum”
Tighten to how many ft/lbs? Use loktite on the screws? Few things missing
in this video.
