the sad thing is changing from h13 to h4 does nothing to replaces the
shitty headlight harness that is the main problem with the Jeep JKs
headlight system. The stock wiring harness has intrinsic problems —
voltage reaching the bulbs is via a pulsewidth modulated circuit with a
duty cycle from 4.5v to 12.7v, not optimal. The wiring also goes though a
series of switches and relays and has a wire gauge in some areas that is
less than what I’d want. replacing the harness bypasses the PWM and the
substandard wiring. Then some Daniel Stern Lighting’s Cibie E-code H4
reflectors, a good H4 bulb and your good. This was the best fix to the bad
headlights we get on our jeeps. All info is from wranglerforum.com by

think of it this way, if you smash it off something you’ll crack ur plastic
(or it’ll bend and do nothing) and it’s easy to replace because plastic is
cheap
Just swapped my headlight assemblies from garbage H13 to H4… this video
helped a lot. JK’s have the worst light output I’ve seen on any of my
vehicles (Jeep put junk in there), this is a good step by step video for
better safety. Thanks.
nice video! just a suggestion: i always clean bulbs with alcohol on a blue
paper shop towel or regular paper towel. even if you don’t touch them, some
small asian hands at some point might have during production or packaging.
they likely wore gloves but i’ve seen bulbs shatter soon after installation
and it’s possible they were contaminated prior to opening the package.
Modern is the clear lens old school is your upgraded lens. Modern would be
hid kit. But other than that really good video. You are very good and pay
attention to detail and explain yourself very well. Thanks
Thanks for this, nice video! I’m going to remove the grill on my Wrangler
Sahara lwb tomorrow, to fit a protective mesh grill. My truck is only a few
days old, so the thought of taking the grill off was kinda scary! Now I can
see that it’s a pretty easy job. Cheers from Scotland.
I like the colour of your jeep, this video was actually good because this
is the most comprehensive video on how to remove the grille you do very
good instructionals for sure.

where are the turn signal plugs?
Great video but you need to use a tripod to hold that cam… :D
Thanks for the video! Curious, did you have to do much adjustment after the
install to get them pointed correctly?

How come my 2012 jk has ugraded lights?
I got the Truck Lite and I am very pleased with them. I got the Vision X
replacement fog lights and they are great!
eat some haggis for me brother.
Thanks for the video! This helped a lot when I was putting on my new locks
for my hood.
I wonder why the JK has a plastic grill. That was a huge turn off for me.

i have a strange issue, one headlight seems crooked, but its not. i might
look at it a bit tonight.
positive for me. less weight. why would you need a heavy metal grill?
