GTFORDMAN says:

i didnt know they made a V8 'S' type! was a Jag V8 or did they use Fords modular like they did with the V6?

Rafael Fiallo says:

Gotta have at least one Lola appearance.

Bungey Cord says:

Oh i see dollar signs getting that one sorted. I would ask LoLa for guidance on this Jaguar.

Smarternu says:

The best way to deal with that year jag is to put a can of sterno on the intake manifold, then remove the Shrader valve from the fuel rail, turn the key and run.

Bill Griffin says:

Maybe no oil is why it wouldn't even try to start?

Clifford Kinnear says:

Hi Mike. I'm not trying to be a smart-xxx but wouldn't one of the family members have the master key and key fob? That would be the easiest way to deal with the immobilizer stuff. Good luck figuring it out– it seems like a good car so far.

Smarternu says:

@18, Wow Misty is cool for giving you a sack of grass to work on the JAG.

GeorgeandDad Decker says:

You are probably going to have to bring it to the dealer for them to reprogram the keys. When the computer sits without battery power for more than a few months the computer needs reseeding.$400.

dassme1 says:

actually you might have to reprogram the key to the computer . some fords and other cars will forget the keys programed if the battery is dead for years . try to reprogram it Mike

GeorgeandDad Decker says:

Is this from the time period Ford owned them? If so this thing is a large piece of poo.

Eber Silv says:

Good luck. We had a x type one, we had two moments of happiness with the car. When we bought and when we sold.

Neil Forrest says:

This one is a can of worms. Good luck with this one! Back to the Mercedes Station Wagon and the Barbie Car

Victor Robinson says:

Plus charge the battery too full !

Victor Robinson says:

Sometimes the driver side door lock must be turned lock and unlocked too make anti theft on and off too allow car too start !

Wolfhound says:

I like her Mike. She’s a keeper!!

alec wade says:

Mike u know u can get in the back trunk by the back seat and pull the strap on the inside of trunk lid. By the middle console on back seat

JOHNJOHN 9111 says:

nice Ford Milkey

MrPabsUk says:

There's a key hole under the licence (number) plate light plinth to open the trunk (boot) when the battery is dead. The steering wheel lock is electric. The ignition lock also has a little flap that clicks a switch when you take the key out, & they get sticky, so clean & lube your flaps! Also, check the gearshift parking switch, and the brake switch, as they also control whether or not the starter engages. … The Jag V8 NEEDS a good battery, they don't work properly with tired or undersized batteries, so that needs sorting out (also, when you fit a new battery, all kinds of warnings will come up, you have to start & run it 2 or 3 times before the computer clears all the warnings, so don't panic!) ..

I`d like to know why there's no oil at all, & no coolant.. Is there undercarriage damage? Rad damage? a chunk out of the pan (sump)? The heater valves can leak in the engine bay, I guess you`ll find out when you get water in it & run it.. So, check your flaps, & check your undercarriage!

You need a lift in your yard or garage…Missie and Mike, still young lovers.

Roy Campbell says:

o you have another ignigon key ? it looks like the computer isnt recognizing the ignition key. godd luck.

Roger Fenton says:

Could the remote battery be flat ,you should be used to the battery cable being on the bulkhead as your favourite cars do it
