Maintaining Jaguar S-Type R: Part Eight

Maintaining Jaguar S-Type R: Part Eight

Hi All – part eight of a series of videos pertaining maintenance and restoration tasks for my 2003 Jaguar S-Type R. The driver’s side rear (off-side) window trim has not been right since I have had the car. The top window finisher was protruding from the door by around 3mm when it should be flush. I managed to find some old clips so I could replace the (likely) broken clips. 8 are required for each rear window and 9 for each front window. The lower finishers do not use the clips.

Tools and parts used:
Putty knife (yes – really!)
Pliers (multiple sizes)
Pickers (from my interior trim tool kit) – sharp pointed hooks to help extract the broken clips
3M quarter inch double-sided tape
Kitchen scissors
Eastwood Plastic Bumper Restore & Resurfacer – Matt Black Aerosol
Eastwood PRE Painting Prep Aerosol 312g
Autoglym All-Purpose Cleaner
Brown masking paper
10 * XR826786020 Drip moulding and finisher clip Jaguar S-TYPE 1999-2008
9mm socket and racket driver
Jaguar Zircon Blue JHV Touch Up Paint and Scratch Repair Kit
