Jaguar X100 XK8 drop link replacement. plus health and channel evolution news

In this channel we look at the drop links on Our Jaguar X100 XK8 XKR’s and discover the ONE TOP TIP that makes chaning them very easy. Indeed I think its one of the best jobs for a beginner DIY mechanic to progress from Wiper blades and headlamp bulbs to non-consumer part replacement.
I also address the many kind enquiries about my health and talk about how the channel may evolve, (for the better) as a result.

Here is a link to the parts I used

Sorry to hear that you've not been well John but glad you're on the road to full recovery

Hi John, thanks for showing the video, yes it is an easy job. I would like to add that there are also cheap alternatives. But in this case you should only use the original parts. Our Unfortunately, roads are not the best either. I am also aware of your health problems. I wish you all the best and discipline in keeping to the diet. Best wishes, Udo

Glad to hear that you're on top of your medical wellbeing. I'm a bit older than you but had a similar journey with levels of blood pressure, cholesterol etc, but having a great doctor has helped me get ticks in every box with the right level of medication and lifestyle changes. I had prostate cancer and a stroke just to add some complications, but am happy to say I've turned the corner on all things. I think you deserve to push yourself less John. Good health mate!

I just got an MOT advisory on these (Front droplinks), so I am going to give replacing them a go! i have done the rear drop links previously. I will probably clean up and re rust proof the front suspension while I m there. @ John – do you not feel the need to strip the front suspension , shot blast it and powder coat it?
