We had trouble with that too. There is a bolt that holds it in and then you work it out of the block. It’s hard plastic, as you know, and it takes a while to get it out. Jeff did it from under the car with his hand and it took him about 30 minutes. It will come out though. Putting it back in is just as difficult, we put oil around it first but it still took a while to push it back in. It’s a very tight fit.
How did you remove the oil filler tube from the valve cover? I’m replacing my 2000 Jaguar S-Type 4.0 valve cover gaskets but haven’t been able to remove the oil filler tube.
