Isuzu Rodeo Radio Installation

Isuzu Rodeo Radio Installation

The radio died in my 1996 Rodeo and it is time to put in a new one. I used a JVC 330.

troy jay says:

your old radio was a cheap dual radio unit prolly 30 bucks

Glenjimen says:

There should be an option in the menu to turn off the demo mode

Robert Griffin says:

You can stagger your connections and put a sleeve on there easier.

batvette says:

Many install shops will use wire nuts, others will use self insulating butt splices. Because of OSHA regulations regarding occupational hazards of breathing lead fumes and the fact it’s a learned skill, most don’t do it the right way, which involves solder and heat shrink tubing. Also lots of ways to damage a car interior with imprudent use of soldering irons and heat guns.

That’s the only way they do it in military aviation, solder and heat shrink. Fuck lead free solder though.

thank you so much my radio sucks now i can replace it

jake cantley says:

whoever wired the radio prolly did a bad job i did all my stuff in my golfcart and wire nuts were used

drawingmaster says:

Thanks, I finally got it. On the downside it didnt fix my radio problem.

acme663ryo says:

I know right? Scared as hell you are going to break the dumb thing. Double then triple check that all the screws are out then maybe slip something wide and thin in the crack and pry as close to the spring clips as you can.

drawingmaster says:

I have the same car and the black plastic part of the dash is to stubborn to pull off. Any help?

HDXFH says:

we got a 2000, Turbo Diesel version of that vehicle, it just has a Holden badge on it, nothing else differs much, Cheap head units never seem to last.

shaun16ful says:

I think u was ment to slide the radio in from the front of the dash when the dash was put back together

daewooparts says:

its cheapo china junk made for wal-mart under license from komec , overvolt it then crush it

bluesmokeproductions says:

I pulled the cover and it is marked Niamsung on the board and Komec on the player. I do not recognize either, do you know them?

bluesmokeproductions says:

I was thinking about seeing how many DC volts it will take and still sort of run, chaining a pair of MOTs and burn it from the inside out or see how fast we can spin up a cd with over voltage. When are you going to put some videos up? I would love to watch some daewoo carnage.

daewooparts says:

those dashboards are a pain in the ass , i had to remove the complete dashboards from ISUZU rodeo’s and the honda passport clones ,GM opel also got the same clones in europe and australia, open up the cover on that old radio and you can figure out who made it , i suspect the old radio will show up on”bluesmokeproductions” page give it a good fry and CRUSH !
