moccina says:

@rich unggoy I respectfully disagree. You always disconnect your negative
so as to avoid electrical fire / sparks. It’s the safest way. Thx for
watching.

moccina says:

@sherrod cooks — I can’t reply to your comment b/c of a YT bug. Anyway you
would simply run 2 wires through the firewall and mount the switch inside
the glovebox.

Jeremy Powell says:

First and foremost my knowledge of cars is limited to changing oil, gas,
tires, spark plugs, brakes. needless to say I’m not mechanically inclined i
only know some basics, that being said, I have a 94 Chevy Astro van.each
time I get in the van a button the size of a Christmas tree tiny light bulb
is blinking red. I have to push this button to connect the battery to be
able to start the ignition. I wish to remove this. It disconnects my van
randomly, once doing 45 with my kids in the back. in order to get this
button to work again i must stop the van, unscrew the positive on the
battery and reconnect. please help me find a video or web page tutorial to
help me learn how to do this.

Lisa Seidel says:

In addition to a kill switch (I have the same on as in your video), I also
have a bypass fuse so I don’t lose the presets or clock… Do you have the
directions on where and how to install that part? Thank you.

Nathaniel Galvez says:

For an everyday driver what kind of kill switch(s) would you prefer? (21
year old car)
And if you have any in mind and can you please get back to me as soon as
possible.

Chris Robey says:

good video cheers installing mine tomorrow

jose arenal says:

Whats the name of this kill switch ?

Peter Yurkins says:

Thank you for the video.

rich unggoy says:

i think your suppose to put that on the positive side…just saying. Good
video though

OlaCzajska says:

Aha, you are helping thiefs, one thief will install this in your car, and
kill you (sorry for my bad English)

Manilla Tasty says:

Were did u get that peticuliar kill switch

Jose Granado says:

great video! thanks for the info

sherrod cooks says:

so how would I run this into my glove box or any spot of choice

Ricardo Mejia says:

Thanks for the video it was helpful.

jack mehoff says:

i wanted to install one of these on my 1998 isuzu trooper because the
headlights come on by themselves and drains the battery. A new headlight
switch for my car is over 400 dollars at autozone. I heared that if you use
one of these it cuts the power to your ecm and your car has to relearn
everything over evertime you use it. I heared that this can damage your
car. Any thoughts?

CHIEF HADOUKEN says:

Should of done a Ignition kill switch instead and hide a small button
inside the car.

Jorge Torres says:

Can it be used to avoid that just one accessory doesn’t work? I mean, I
have an air ride system, but I would like to use it just when I put the key
on it (but with car on).

A Rodriguez says:

Would this reset all my radio setting etc…..

thunderpoop2 says:

This video was extremely valuable. I just came from the Harbor Freight
store about an hour and a half ago. I was looking at a kill switch on sale
but, decided not to buy it because I didn’t have the confidence to install
one. After your video, I feel I can successfully install this switch.
MANY THANKS! :-)

slickmet says:

My car is a daily driver and take it everywhere…im so going to do this
now. Thanks for the vid.

RSH21 says:

yes it is the same exact thing as taking the battery cable off

Jeremy Lopez says:

i use a regular switch almost like a light switch but smaller, and hook it
up to the ignition and hide it from plain sight. (u need to know what ur
doing with the ignition wiring before u start)

moccina says:

Hi, when you use this kill switch it is no different than if you were to
disconnect the negative terminal of your battery. Anything that happens
when doing this would be the same in either scenario.

CHOPPERGIRL AIRWAR says:

That’s the whole point, to cut off all those asshole little devices that
add up to stealing 50 milliams (0.05 amps) draw all the time… leave your
car parked for a few days/weeks and your battery is drained dead by them
Normally your battery loses 1% a day anyway, so yeah, kill em. Not
everybody drives their car to work every day… I might drive my car once a
month or even less. Why? I have motorbikes, which are far superior in every
way 🙂

moccina says:

I’ve had mine for about 3 years and sometimes I still will walk backwards
after parking it and ogle it’s sexiness lol. Nope, all this does is create
an easy way to cut your battery juice. It does not affect performance etc.
Have fun!

purple kush says:

were can i get this exact kill switch?

moccina says:

Thanks bruddah! Don’t forget to sub 😀

capitalsimmagic says:

I don’t understand you’ve just disconnected your battery by activating the
kill switch so now the central locking on the car won’t work etc. why did
you do this?

moccina says:

I relocated the switch to a hidden location after the video was made. Thx
for commenting 😀

moccina says:

That is correct. Granted the would be thief does not have enough time to
figure out where the kill switch is configured and how to redirect power to
your ignition (which most will not have this expertise). Time is everything
when it comes down to someone trying to steal your car. If it takes too
long to figure out, they will more than likely move on to the next car. You
can also rig it up so only ignition gets power cut off or have 2 separate
switches– It’s up to you! Thx for watching!

moccina says:

That’s brilliant

RSH21 says:

no it cannot make your car weak………..geez. if anything it will prevent
the battery from becoming weak. it will erase short term fuel trims and
clock settings. other than that its the same thing as disconnecting your
cars battery

SAJ@TV says:

Plz help.. can i hook up a traditional factory fitted liquid(water, acid)
car battery with a AGM deep cycle battery? Or both needs to be the same
deep cycles? Plz help

core6198 says:

do you basically cut the fuel pump cable, and put the switch between it and
thats it right?

bestmastermind951 says:

when using this switch does it fully cut off battery to the whole car EX:
if u turn off this switch after installed will it have the same effect as
if i took off the battery terminal?

John Weaver III says:

why would you want it under your hood? I have a kill switch that’s hidden
inside my car.

moccina says:

I have nothing in my interior to steal. No items of value inside my car to
speak of. If someone gets in they will be disappointed lol. The kill switch
is a deterrent for the amateurs who would rather move on to the Honda down
the block that does not have a kill switch (hence no juice). The pros will
steal your shit no matter what; but I’m really not worried about an 11 year
old Acura 😉
