Has the whole compressor gone or is just the clutch that is repairable? I am about to find out either by myself or through a mechanic.

@codsixrules, Thanks for your reply. I will check with the dealer if they
sell the clutch part only. Hopefully I can repair it myself. I’ll update
the case for educational purposes. Thanks Again!
Ye I watched again and while it’s stalled the pressure dies down a bit and
it starts turning again. I’m confident it’s the clutch.
haha.. mine is doing the same thing.. dam belt squeeling is driving me
crazy.. im going to be changing the compressor clutch asap too…
Most likely the clutch. It looks like as the pressure increased while
running the worn clutch didn’t have the crip to run the load. As long as
the compressor turns nicely and doesn’t make load rateling sounds it should
be fine. Hope you get it going again : )
Mine did a similar thing, sort of fixed it by adding a relay and a larger
wire that went right to the alternator, pulls right down hard now.
I know its about a year ago, but this will help new owners. It’s the high
pressure from the condenser not beeing cooled down. The cooling fan on the
small condenser is a high fail item. They fail compleatly or blow great for
a while and then spin slow.
