Wouldn't it still clog?
I DID THIS leak about 2yrs ago and it's back. posted vids and the part is very hard to get out. the straw should work as it will push the water further from the car than the regular drain setup will or use another hose and T connector and route it thru the ac drain. merely cleaning the tube and putting it all back together stock does NOT work as the oem setup is flawed from the get go.

Is your G still good since you've done this? I just got 2013 G37xs coupe and water leaks at times.througjh both door tweaters. Any suggestions on diagnostic would be badass thanks!
I've watched numerous videos to understand the locations (esp the BCM in relation to the outlet) and why it leaks behind the firewall and youre the only one to make sense. Infiniti wanted $4,000 to replace my drains even though ive cleaned it before with air but that didn't last. THANK YOU!!!!!
Am I the only one with whose drain going backwards has this issue lol ? Can anyone tell me how to access the drain in the back I’ve already took off the back bumper and cleaned the end if the drain but it still leaks
If your hands are small enough you could take it off just by reaching back there by the window

Tks for all the videos. We followed your methods before you made this video & could only fix//get at one side so took to dealer who charged $600 to unclog the other side (2009 G37x). (Bought the ex long needle nose pliers & very long screwdriver but was still a b*tch to get at) So, here we are again. My hubby-plumber and & I wonder if we can just silicone around the (outside of the) sunroof to prevent more leaking? The drains are clogged. We never use the sunroof so if this could solve the issue, then that would be our latest fix. . If we do this, would the water just run off the car or go somewhere else inside is my question. I just want to be sure we won't make another issue. I assume we would be putting silicone all around the outside of sunroof while it's closed. Tks for the time you took to do all the videos! Can't pay dealer again for a recurrent issue ($1200) for both drains so if silicone will prevent water on the front floors,, we need to go that route.
Having a problem with my 2012 Camry v6 SE – it’s getting moisture inside windows- I notice the if I lift my driver mat- hard rubber- it is moist underneath- trying to find the issue- cleaned sunroof drains but did not try blowing air from drain end point at bottom of car- ANY SUGGESTIONS
Way easier to reach the drain from the engine side of the firewall. Break off that stupid baffle that clogs with dirt and you are done. The water poured out. 5 mins. Nothing to take apart. Just move plastic out of the way.
Same thing happened with my 50. It’s such an easy install to fix, I just have to pick a weekend

How do I make sure the grommet is against the firewall all the way???
Or silicone tiny hair bands as the seal.

Here is another fix for those who have lots of time and/or want to be less invasive in fear of breaking things because that's always what happens.
Pop off the A pillar covers to expose the drainage tube. Be careful prying around the airbag cords. Open the sunroof. Lay towels along the doorline and seat. Get a condiment type squirt bottle or turkey baster or something similar. On the left or right of the forward part of the sunroof tray squirt a pure cleaner into the corners. I've used vinegar but the smell stays forever so this time Dawn Heavy Duty Degreaser. The more clogged the better, slowly squirt it in until you see the tube fill. Squeeze and work the tube to loosen the gunk until it drains. Wait a bit for the solvent to work and then slowly flush with hot water until it stops dripping internally.
Order a new sunroof gasket if you have the money, if you dont then mask off the gasket and seal it with gasket seal or liquid tape.
