why is there like a half second delay after hitting the paddles? Is it
because its not a dual clutch? The GTR just smashed into gear as soon as
you pull the paddles but this g37 seems to have a delay.
With the automatic transmission from years 2007 through 2015 G35/G37 sedan
or coupe and the renamed Q40 sedan, when you move the gear selector to the
left “DS mode”you do not have to shift the selector plus/minus or sport
package with the paddle shifters. Just simply floor the gas pedal with gear
selector to the left. DS mode is Dynamic Sport mode. The transmission will
still change gears in a rev- match high performance auto sport mode. Normal
drive mode : move selector back over to the right.
this is kinda cool what i dont like about automatics is that you accelerate
then it goos Bruuuuum and then it shifts but at a point it gets like stuck
like
buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum
and then it shifts it kinda sounds ugly
Thanks for the tutorial.
I’ve been driving a manual for 32 years, at this point you just become part
of the car and you don’t even think about shifting (you just do it).
Big Nissan fan here and thinking of moving up to Infiniti and wondered how
the paddles worked. Can you start off in 2’nd gear or only first?
LOL the shifting in a auto g37 is nowhere near fast as a manual g37. The
down shifting is around the same speed. The upshifting is tremendously
slower compared to a manual.
Thanks for the reply, I also noticed alot of people complaining about the
lag in the gas pedal. Sorry I don’t want to be picky but I’m just asking
questions because I plan on getting a 2010 Infiniti g37x in spring. So
people say that when driving iin regular D there is alot of lag when
hitting the gas pedal. Ssy u were going around 40mph then suddenly brake
and hit the gas again, it would take a good second or two for the throttle
to respond. I’m not sure if it’s only some people getting this or its
normal. Have u noticed anything like this? Thanks
No need to release the gas pedal for everybody wondering… just shift
while you have your foot on the gas… shifts very quick

Im still confused?? I driver automatic and i want to learn how to drive
manual. So my question is, when do you up shift and when do you down
shift?
Hello,
What year is the G37 in this video? Is it a coupe or sedan? Thanks for
posting the paddle shift demo.
Is there still a clutch in the car? i.e. when coming to a stop or pulling
away is clutch needed? Or is it more like a automatic?
One of the dirtiest mexican accents i have ever heard… sick!!!
4:30 sombodies tire just popped lol!!!!!!!!
Stupid question but would the sound of the exhaust change with using a
shift knob than using paddle shifters?
Chifting…
Oh, okay, this is a paddle-automatic (requesting a shift with them) rather
than a paddle-manual (actually shifting with them directly).
What was that beep at three minutes?

Clearly biased
If u don’t even know how to do that how the hell are u driving
Where the hell is this accent from?
just wanna ask, does it damage the car when you shift from DS mode to D
mode?
It’s an auto with a manual mode but the computer still controls u no shit
it has a clutch
How do I go faster shift up or down and what gear make the car fast
Lmao

So what will happen if i shift like a manual vehicle let foot off gas shift
and hit gas again will the transmission get messed up ?
“Cheefting” = shifting lol
do you let off the gas like you would with a stick or just tap the paddles
Nice vid, simple enough.
Driving paddle is NOT as fun as Driving stick shift.
Thanks!!! Now I can use the paddle shifters when a girl is in passenger!
does that awd model have paddles
