Dumbest idea yet! Why take off identification badging that adds styling to
your car or truck? In the day, people look forward to putting badging on
to make their car distinctive. What a waste of time and energy.
i see you reading those notes while talking buddy! >.> hahaha xD
Do not use a heat gun, fishing line will do the job and you can peal the 3m
off without using any heavy chemicals. When you’re done wax it really good
in that spot and you’re good to go. This is a good video if you have access
to a heat gun and heavy chemicals and want to use them on your paint. Just
wanted to throw my two cents in for another option.
thanks bro. used floss and 3M adhesive remover on a nissan altima worked
like a charm
nice video, thanks! I see “Goo Gone” in the reflection of the truck’s paint
hehe!
Thanks man!
I wonder if dental floss would work? That seems pretty strong and cheap as
well.
Thanks for the video. Now time to go remove the SS emblem on my 2014 camaro
so I can put the RS/SS emblem on.
My car is 30 yeas old and when I tried to de-badge it the letters fell of
and some paint I dont car that much, but people should know that it you
have old faded paint it wont so well
Very nice video
Thanks for yous videos
My vehicle is an 04, wouldn’t the paint under the emblem have a fresher
color sinse the rest of the car has been kinda faded by the sun? My suv is
black if that makes a difference.
It’s a forward slash chief
OK, Ive tried Goo Gone and a heat gun on my boat, decals warm up and come
off quite easy… the adhesive residue is another story. Hope the 3m
remover works better than the goo gone!!! trying it tomorrow.
thanks to your video now I can take the emblems off my 06 nissan altima.
would this process also work on dealership patch/sticker too? and what kind
of soap?
I just used boiling water/fishing line and nail polish remover, worked
fine.
Great Video Instruction, however if you do not have access to a Heat Gun, I
have found that boiling water in a kettle and pouring it gently over the
badges you want to remove also works as well.
Fishing line, hair dryer, brake cleaner, and a wrag. That’s it.
Can someone please give me reasons for removing the badges? Thanks.
I thought those things were bolted on. Well I’ve been wrong…
Use olive oil to remove adhesive. Cheaper, non-toxic and you can use it to
cook…
Coleman fuel
This is way overdone i used a fishing line and my fingernails ha ha thats
it
Thanks!
Fishing line and goo gone is all you need. I just did it to my 2013
Silverado
