That C-Clamp didn’t look very straight. When you push the piston in, it is best to push as straight as possible. If it isn’t going in easily, don’t force it… Reposition the clamp. Usually it is best to push against an old pad or block of wood vs direct on the piston.

Yes. The new pads will be thicker because they haven’t been worn with use. You will see if you do it, you need to push it back for it to fit in.

You are actually supposed to open the bleeder screw when pressing the pistons back. When compressing the fluid back up you can roll the square cut o ring that is around the piston. By opening the bleeder you remove the fluid back pressure and you’re less likely to roll the seal. Close the bleeder while clamp is still on, install pads and reopen bleeder to remove air. Good video though, very clear and easy to understand.

Good vid, I just want to throw in that its handy to have a turkey baster around to draw out excess brake fluid if needed.

Great vid! I used this as a guide to do my rears last year! I noticed you didn’t remove the shims from your old pads to put on the new ones. Is that ok?

I’m confused with the c clamp. So it pushes the piston in so you can put the caliper back over the new pads?
