It's a junk. Toyota is way overpriced. I'm glad I'm old and don't have to buy another car in this depressionary Obiden economy.
Scotty doesn’t fix anything anymore it’s a shame because every episode is the same boring crap the last 1.5 years. It’s just talking about the car after scanning it.
My fiance has a 2012 Sonata Hybrid…could be the worst car ever made. They even extended the warranty from 100k to 150k I suspect because of class action lawsuits. They replaced the entire engine at 115k. We have had the transmission replaced, the hybrid batteries replaced on multiple occasions. Best part is when the hybrid batteries go the car just shits the bed can't keep running on just the gasoline engine. Has left us stranded in need of tow at least 3 times
My first car when I turned 16 was a 2010 hyundai elantra. It was my dad's before he gave it to me, and between the both of us we put 145k miles on it over almost 14 years. Never once did I have to do anything besides normal maintenance, but it definitely was showing it's age and I decided to trade it in last week before it needed any major work. I think elantras are a perfect car for anyone to give their kid when they turn 16. They're easy to drive and maneuver and are cheap enough that you wont be as mad if your kid wrecks it.

Hyundai/Kia, even some of the 2023 models have fire recalls.
Getting a dent on that, the body shops will charge extra. I seen how long it takes them to do regular dents, labour intensive, $$$.
Toyota is the only manufacturer that has good quality control.
2020 toyota camry. Thermostat housing failed. $700 at the dealer. Not fixed under warranty
