I ASSume you don’t know a lot about Ford, specifically F150s. However…
I recently received a postcard reading “immediate response to notice requested.” This was from Ford. Given Ford is currently the highest recalled vehicles on the planet, I thought I better call, 1-888-650-6855.
I received a immediate question about fluid levels and the S-show began. Talking about how expensive repairs are now, “so much higher than before.”
I told the professional soft talking script reading lady, “if my 2018 truck with less than 50k miles isn’t reliable I will never buy Ford again.
Side Note* I know their newer cars are so bad Ford retired their car industry besides the “mustang.”
Anyway, the lady pretended she knew about vehicles and “her husband is a Ford Master Mechanic.” When I asked her what he drove she hung up without a word.
Scumbags.
Some manufacturers, like older Nissans, the obd port is only and obd port for emissions but diagnostics is done through another part. Maybe there are two on this Ford? Not all ABS systems are computer controlled necessary through a separate computer. How would you do disagnistcs if wasn't an option with a scan tool?
So what's the terrible news Scotty?
Regarding fuel pumps; my '90 TBird has had what I thought was fuel pump failure but I discovered that the vapor recovery system was malfunctioning pulling too much vacuum on the fuel tank. The pump cannot pump in that condition.
ITS COLD SEASON UP HERE IN THE NORTHERN STATES, Hotty Totties and a good Congestion Decompressant will kick it in the Butt!
well at least the koreans are good at making guitars as good as the top brand names and better in some cases and their kimchee is the stinkiest in the world!

I don't know Scotty I got a fuel pump straight from China 7 years ago for my 4.3 S10 just the pump not the whole unit it cost 6 bucks with 7 bucks shipping and it's still going I got 45k on it now. Probably the same exact part you'll get from nappa for 60 bucks.
Subaru dealer tech here. Just saying Scotty the 3.0 H6 is absolutely garbage but the newer 3.6 H6 is a complete 180 from that early garbage

I don't like these highly computerized cars.
Unfortunately, Hyundai/Kia doesn't have the quality control that Toyota & Honda have. Also, Hyundai doesn't like to fix some of the problems with their cars. Like the American brands they try to come up with a cheap fix – software update
This is why China is taking over the car industry.
This is why I love my good ole 2002 RAV4 5 speed.
