Thank you for watching our video on replacing your Hyundai Sonata side view mirror. Replacing exterior car parts can be a very simple process with the proper know-how. We sell pre-painted auto parts and we guarantee the functionality & paint match. If you are looking for quality parts, you watched the right video.

Hyundai is a brand that is very much in the same spirit as Honda’s and Toyota’s. They keep the replacement process fairly simple, which is good for us. It’s important that you have a functional mirror to drive safely. Not only is it not safe but it can be illegal to drive with a missing or broken mirror. So, don’t drive too long without a side-view mirror.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a 10mm socket wrench to remove the nuts. You will also need panel clip pliers or a flat-head screwdriver to remove the mirror interior panel.

PROCESS:
This is a very simple process and can be done quite fast for anyone, regardless of experience. You have to pop off the interior mirror cover located on the corner of the window. You can do this with your hands but it is much easier with a panel clip removal tool. You can also use a flat-head screwdriver. The panel is just clipped onto the door, so you can easily just pull it off. The mirror is held on by three 10mm nuts. Use a socket extension to easily remove the bolts. Hold the mirror before unplugging the wire harness. You do not have to remove the door panel for this side view mirror removal or installation. The plug is right on the edge of the panel and you can gently pull it out to release the clip. Do your best not to drop the plug further into the door panel. You want to do as little work as possible. Now you can replace your mirror but make sure that you test the functionality before you completely secure it and finish. Also, check the alignment on the outside to make sure there are no gaps. If there are gaps, you will hear road noise while you drive.

We told you replacing your mirror was an easy job to do!
