How long have they lasted? clean install

TechnologyMafia says:

How long have you run them? HIDs will flicker for a little bit after start up, but once they’re warmed up the flicker should go away. Also make sure all the connections are solid, including the ground. Are you using a capacitor to give them a steady power supply? If they continue to flicker after you’ve checked these things, you probably need the relay harness.

Robert Costa Jr says:

I recently bought hid kit for my veloster and they flickered, the company told me I needed to purchase a 50W relay harness…does this seem right? (I currently ordered h35w…just want o be sure this will work t get the 50w

RWJSJG says:

They look awesome great job and thanks for the video

bxdrifter says:

I have a 2012 veloster and I couldn’t get the cap to screw on even trying to tuck in the old bulb holder that u plugged the igniter in

bxdrifter says:

I would like to know how u got the cap to screw back on so easy with the old light bulb holder I can’t mine to go on did u have to modify

TechnologyMafia says:

If you’re referring to the bulb holders, I got those on ebay. Just search “hyundai veloster h7 adapter”.

TechnologyMafia says:

I got the bulb holders on ebay, just search “hyundai veloster h7 adapter”, or something along those lines. They should be around $10-15.

ivan guixa says:

hello where you purchased the adapter headlights

TheKrazieness says:

hate the fact that the headlight has SO LITTLE space for work without taking off the bumper and headlights…. even if your replacing a burnt bulb, you have to take the whole thing off. Ugh, oh well.

Michael Buchanan says:

Where did you purchase the bulb holders?

Bleedingsouls18 says:

Doesn’t tge 2013 Veloster come with projector style headlights stock? I’ve seen some just do the HID ballast upgrade.

mi16t says:

i don t mean to insult but i hate people recommending dim chinese garbage… so please tell me they ignite better then that

mi16t says:

please tell me those ddm tuning ballasts light the bulbs to white, otherwise they suck balls, blue like shit.

aligtube says:

This Right.. Time And Effort… Cracked, Drill, Parts From Ebay… Too Much

aligtube says:

REALLY???? Not a Good Idea Changing To HID In This Car…. You Need A Certified Mechanic…

JimmyGunXD556 says:

Why are you selling it? Looking at gettimg one.

aligtube says:

changing to HID on this car is a MESS. Not anyone could do it. You have to Drop the Front Bumper, Drell a whole, Get Extra Parts. Not an Easy Task. I would Not Recommend It.
How Hard To Change 0-10 is (10)

KLUG336 says:

Shouldn’t you not connect the HID kit to the battery? I thought you were supposed to connect it to a ground

Adrian Anguiano says:

I have a red Hyundai Veloster and I’d love to do this with my lights!!! Where did you get them, how much does it cost?

030233854914 says:

yup and with the turbo one you got hid

George Georgie says:

Great Video, one question; do the hid has to be KDM or any veloster hid will work?
Thanks

tman22febb says:

Do you still have hi/lo beams?

majestytd says:

Hyundai sucks….. It’s like a Apple computer vs a HP computer hahahahah

achuck4321 says:

ahh, learned something new. I was just correcting the spelling of Ohms though.

chman99 says:

Wait for all cars do we need to buy that bolt holder or w/e you bought off of ebay? I thought the purpose of a bulb was to stay in on its own? Do the kits come with EVERYTHING needed?

Jun-Hyuk Bae says:

SO I know there are four wire coming out from the relay. and two of them are connected to the HID bulb. How about other 2? which the end looks like a silver ring

subspeed6 says:

Actually, you both are wrong. Capacitors are rated in Farads. The μ symbol is for micro. So the capacitor is a 470 microfarad cap.

p.s. The arrow points to the negative side.

FourLiterV8 says:

Actually that “u” symbol is µ, for micro. Capacitors aren’t rated in ohms.

achuck4321 says:

the u symbol is “Ohms”

baby blue says:

the u symbol is omes

slydog005 says:
