Wondering how much you torqued up the nut on the new idler pulley when you replaced it? I have a 2008 Tucson but its a related chasis and my part is exact same with the strange bolt tensioner! I just used a 14 mm wrench and went about as tight as I could but did not use torque wrench, couldn't get it on.
Also…That part remaining on the the tensioner bolt through the slot @ 2:52, does it have to go that way? I believe I reassembled mine with but flipped around so the tapered side of that piece faces the other way – inward – just seemed like it cozied into the plate properly that way but maybe I did it wrong? Do you think that might cause premature wear or excessive friction on the bearings the way I did it or do you think its fine either way? Im guessing its tapered for a reason…
i need timing belt number
Hope next time you can show what tools you are useing
