In this video, I show how to install Atoto CS-651DC 6 ½” 2-way coaxial speakers in the rear doors of a 2019 or newer Hyundai Veloster N. I also give my opinion on how the new speakers sound and if it’s worth replacing the rear speakers.
The speakers feature a 1′ silk dome tweeter, integrated on top of a carbon fiber woofer. Each speaker has a 4 ohm impedance with a maximum RMS power rating of 60 watts to allow the speakers to handle most aftermarket amplifiers with ease. They also have a very high 93db of sensitivity, which will allow them to easily work well off smaller amps or head units, making them a very versatile speaker set. Finally, they have a wide frequency response from 40hz to 20khz ensuring you’ll be able to hear a full rich sound.
When you unbox the speakers, you will find two speakers and a small bag of mounting screws. There are no grills included with the speakers, which for most cars, mine included, is not an issue, since the speakers are typically installed behind factory grills.
The speakers have a solid build quality with an impressive basket structure and large magnet. After seeing just how large the magnets were, compared to most coaxial speakers, I was curious to put the speakers on a scale and find out how much they weighed. On the scale, each weighed just shy of 3 pounds.
