Nice job laying out step by step, really cool of you to take so much time
to make this nice video. Thanks!
Does the rear camera mark line up directly, or is it retard by 1/2 a tooth?
I am diagnosing arough idle/no power condition and the timing marks do not
line up all three exactly.
Also there is a distinct “valve/piston” collision noise when throttle is
about 30%. My suspicion is that the rear camera “jumped” timing
Awesome video and VERY detailed and informative. I will be using this video
as a reference when changing out the timing belt on my Sonata. Thank you
very much for this!
Are you saying there are white marks on the old parts from the previous
installation?
Will this work for my 02 xg350 because it looks the same
Thanks Brian
I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe 4WD with the 2.7Litre V6 motor. It just
turned over the 60,000 mile mark and I now feel confident enough to perform
this maintenance myself. Thanks for the video!!!! Good
presentation/explanation!!!
Amazing work. This video was used to do my daughter’s 2002 Hyundai Santa
Fe, AWD, 2.7Lt, and validated 100% the clarity, simplicity, and accuracy of
everything instructed. The level of easy to follow details makes an amateur
mechanic look like a pro better than the dealer’s. Brian’s talent to create
training videos is appreciated.
Brian, I have a 2002 santa fe v6 2.7 dohc and I just did the timing belt
and water pump but I now have a really bad misfire all the timing mark’s
are on point. Do you have any idea what it can be?
Thanks fella, very informative and well made video.
