Its not normal mines made the same noise. Your steering shaft is rot. Replace it or youre gonna end up in a ditch
Does anyone know what it would be? Besides the steering shafts mine have been replaced and still have slop in steering wheel. Theres no sterring gear box so cant tighten that and no set screws on the column either im at a loss here.
INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT , it must have been ridden hard or high milege….it's a common Vintage GM thing….lol
