So here are my inexpensive, $27 a pair, offroad lights. They are a great deal and really light up the road. I first show how they are set up (during the day) and then I show how they look at…

ChrisFix says:

Gotcha… Too bad. They are great for the price!

Fernando Duran says:

only angled up would work but they were too big to move them around in the
grills

ChrisFix says:

Really? I guess if your car is that low then it wouldnt be good since they
are spot lights… Although, if you angle them upward I would think it
would work…

Fernando Duran says:

i had to return them because they were no good near the ground,,, i was
thinking about putting them on my roof rack, but it looked too much like a
truck..lol

ChrisFix says:

No, it comes with special high amp switches plus fuses… No relay needed…

s0nnyburnett says:

No relay?

ChrisFix says:

Cool! Leave your video as a video response! I would love to see how they
work for your car!

Fernando Duran says:

Saw your review on harbor freight website,, I’m going to install inside the
grills of my car. I like to rally and my stock lights are not bright
enough. Great vid!!! I will install them soon and put up a video.

AutomotiveVlog says:

Thanks for the response man. Looks like you been running these for almost a
year now. Do you use them often? I go out to the desert fairly regularly
but rarely do night driving. Mainly bought these for looks but wanted
something that works decently. Tried it out once it was dark and they
really do put out good long distance lights.

wade lawson says:

i just bought 6 of these, was a little nervous to see how they worked after
i instal them. after this video, i have high hopes. this is also the only
video i could really find with the lights. so thanks!

ChrisFix says:

Yea man! That’s why I put disclaimers in the video description of my how to
videos hahahaha

ChrisFix says:

Excellent! After using them for a few months they are well worth it. The
only bad thing about these lights is they dont adjust up and down very
well… I ended up cutting the wedge so it angled properly… But they work
great!

ChrisFix says:

Yea. These lights are still holding up great! I use them almost every day!

devin laughren says:

some else as mad as i am with a fear of the dark. i have 16 lights. 1600
watts of driving lights facing forward and 200 rear.

ChrisFix says:

Let me know what you think!

Connor Archer says:

Also are you in nj too

CVObservatory says:

Thanks. I was a car audio installer in my late teens and early 20’s. I’ve
seen many vehicle interior fires where the power wire was ran incorrectly
with no inline fuse or fuse block installed. It’s ridiculous how some
people will run a 4 or 8 gauge wire into their vehicle.

jsanchez430 says:

you ran WAY more wires than you needed to, but nice job otherwise.

ChrisFix says:

Thanks, but I thought I ran the least amount needed lol… how could I have
run less?

CVObservatory says:

Just went and bought these lights. I’ll get them installed as soon as the
rain stops and see how well they work.

SixthShotNation says:

They are about 30 bucks now but these are easily 100-150 dollar quality
lights. The price is just amazing. Go to harbor freight.

Caleb VeeDub says:

Whats the name of those lights and can I find them on Ebay?

AutomotiveVlog says:

Hey man I saw your review on Harbor Freights website. Just put these in my
van. I’ll post a video response. How have the switches held up? Some
reviewers say you should run a relay. What do you think?

ChrisFix says:

Oh, I got ya… The problem is that with this much power going through the
wires and switches, it is safer to have both the switch and each light
grounded separately. Your way is definitely a “simpler” way though!

MrStemkilla says:

looks like you need to angle them up. since you will never use them with
other cars around you should have no worries

CVObservatory says:

Well, the first thing I noticed when removing everything is that I don’t
have the Blue wire with the inline fuse. This was the only one HF had in
stock. I have some better gauge wire I can use anyway.

ChrisFix says:

I used the gap between the bumper and the grill to slide metal L-bars in
and bolted them up to the frame behind the bumper. Then I used an aluminum
tubing to mount the four lights on and then attached that to the 2 L-bars.

ChrisFix says:

The beams are pretty narrow, but they are powerful… The camera doesnt
pick up all of the light because the intensity of the main beams… I did
not use relays because the kit came with special heavy duty switches rated
at 30amps… I also have 20amp fuses for each pair of lights…

johnnyboy922 says:

how far are you trying to see man? i never get why people aim their lights
so far off. not sure how fast you go when your wheeling but i literally
have two lights aiming straight down lighting up my tires and the sides of
the road. that is more useful for offroading than seeing 100 yards ahead of
me ever has been

ChrisFix says:

Make sure you have an inline fuse in them! That is very very very important
because the switch is in your cab and can catch fire if a fuse doesnt blow!

devin laughren says:

no. i seriously fear the dark. call me a child, idc. i defy the darkness
lol.

Fullmoonwere says:

Lol paper over plate. Fx4level2 baja from frf 🙂

J Man says:

i went to oriely’s and bough two 7in HID off road lights for 100 apiece and
mounted them on a custom light bar on my bed, a bit expensive but
DEFfINITLEY worth it
