If some one has to do this to there car chances are your broke as fuck and
should get a life worth paying for better yet wrap the car up and ship it
to china who gave you this garbage.

ilikethingsfromjapan says:

I did this on my Vauxhall nova’s bumpers and they turned so black the
police pulled me over and arrested me. I am typing this from my cell.
Thanks miniator!

azimmey says:

Do not do this, you will be sorry

jason kulesza says:

seams like it raises oils in plastic to surface and justmakes it just
settles in dry pores for smooth surface. Genious. and $10 2 temp heat gun
at harbor frieght.

Ichiban Moto says:

Now that’s bad ass and will come in handy as I work on my youtube project
bike !

skulledmonte84 says:

How long does it stay like that for until it fades again ? ANYONE ?

Jose Lopez says:

mark mayhem says:

what watt heat gun is ideal?

Darin Beltran says:

Nice!!

Bernievids says:

I told my work friend about your video. She burnt her grandfather’s car to
the ground. You were right though, it turned black. Just the way she likes
it. She then became a stripper to repay her pop. She is no longer my
friend. I hate my life. Do what you want! If it doesn’t work, turn the heat
gun on yourself.

Amonynos says:

I bought a $40 heat gun to do this, and it was worth every penny. I did
my 32 year old Honda CVCC’s bumpers. They went from white to almost
new-looking black, and it stays, … unlike sprays, dyes, peanut butter, or
anything I’ve tried to date.
It looked so good, my friend’s girlfriend even asked if I’d replaced my
bumpers. No lie.

christopher benson says:

I’d be very careful doing the cowling up by the windshield…..that

BowtieCanadianBoy says:

still nice?

RB Gomes says:

also good!! can make this party for less than 5$ for 50 cars. and hold +1
year for sure!!!

camplo142 says:

how long did it last

Blazorn89 says:

I melted my shit up.. Thanks

657BIueArmy says:

I sorted out my slag with a good few bouts of back door work. It renewed
her respect for me and helped keep her in line, and also she enjoyed it
immensely (if her sobbing during and afterwards was anything to go by).

dan231294 says:

does this have any effect on the paint?

miniator says:

@dan231294 No if you keep the heat gun moving. If you stop too long in one
place the plastic will melt before you damage the paint!

khmerog1 says:

hehehehe..i guess you can throw your 1986 Toyota Corolla away 😛

se7en1976 says:

suck shit, n00b

40oz1casualty says:

Can’t fix stupid.

Matt Anderson says:

Works about as good as rubbing butter on your tits.

Phalanx96 says:

how long will this last?

azimmey says:

DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!!! It brings the color out but after a short time the
plastic is more dull than before. Before I did this I just used back to
black and it looked new even though it lasted a short time. Now the plastic
is toast and terribly dull, faded in some spots more than others and had to
repaint both pieces of trim I did. DOES NOT WORK!

Carpe diem glxke says:

Beware of the metal warping…

Mamut says:

Do you need to do the thing with the heat gun first and then use the cartec
or will the cartec just blacken the plastic by itself?

Chevy Nova says:

Guys I know an easier way get this stuff that is made by Turtle it’s called
Wet’N Black Tire shine in the name it says “Tire Shine” but on the back it
says you can also use it on and of the faded plastics your have on your car
hope it works for you guys to 😀 good luck.

Scythe616 says:

If energised by UV light, plastic will react and create new compounds that
clad the exposed surface. We see this as discolouration. Originally the
plastic will have been treated to prevent this, but exposure to the
elements will have slowly worn its protective coating away. Heating the
plastic reverts its chemical makeup returning its original appearance, but
will also strip what’s left of the barrier. After heating you will quickly
need to treat the plastic to prevent it from re-oxidising.

DeerKoden says:

It’s not a good thing to do for plenty of reasons, Robert already stated
them all, plastic won’t be renewed. The only way you can eventually protect
it might be by applying some sort of coating, but it wouldn’t be that easy,
or just paint the plastic in the same color of the car (as on most modern
cars).

craze1701 says:

Is that a temporary solution. If not, how long will it last?

Phalanx96 says:

there is another guy that also used this metod and he said that this will
last for a few months.

bazthehandyman says:

Dead funny !!

teamEP789 says:

does it restore faded memories?

miniator says:

Lasts a few weeks – i use Cartec TP-49 Vinyl to keep the plastics black now

mould automotive says:
