I cant tell you exactly where to look, I took it to the Cadillac Dealer, they fixed it for 100 bucks, there was a bad connection somewhere between the end of the battery cable in the fuse box onward. The mechanic said he’d never seen that happen before, I think it may have been just a loose nut on the end of the battery cable in the fuse box from what the service writer was saying. Good Luck Buddy! The key will always stick when theres no juice. Let me know if that works.

I just turned it on it would not let me bump it..but my security light will go off every 10 mins on its own and the 3rd time it blinks and the car started
Did you turn the ignition over and bump start it like he did OR did you just turn the ignition to the ON position? I have to do this to a 98 seville STS tomorrow and found two sets of instructions one says to bump start it the other says just to turn it to the “ON” position…?! Thx! O_o

Thank you for posting this info…it did work although after it being fixed it sat for about 2 hrs and the problem reocured…does it have to be a full 10?…also looking for more info on how to eliminate the problem w/o purchasing a new ecm?…I have a 2000 k2500 5.7 350

I have a 2006 Cadillac CTS 3.6L, replaced the battery, the key is stuck in the ign switch, won’t start, no lights of any kind anywhere, checked the ign/ecm fuses and they were good, any ideas?
es mejor con sps asi le das nuevo software al bcm con ese procedimiento prende pero alargo vueleve el problema porq si entras en en sps no veras software aparece uknown en todas las programaciones .todo,abs,pcm,bcm tiene software
tiene hummer y no tiene para pagar que le rparen problema en 10 segundo ,consigues mecanico qtenga service programming system y en 10 minutos un relearn al passlock y wuala.ha borale el change oil q vi o no sabes .compran carros carros y despues no pueden mantenerlos

it works, i personally done this on a 04 monte carlo 4yrs ago. i turboed the car and needed a custom tuned ecu for it.
