Christian Macias says:

+momin tariq There should only be one plug that you use to reset the
system. Look at 1:22 to see what the plug socket will look like and how to
reset it. The plugs name is MES (Memory Erase). Also I was told that by a
Honda Technician that you have to purchase a whole new SRS unit when an
airbag deploys. If you do reset and it doesn’t turn back on, report back
and let us know! That way I can know whether to trust my Honda techs or
not.

Allen Engel says:

Thank you Mr. Macias! Worked great the first time! You saved me a bunch
of money!

Karl L says:

It worked well with my Honda Jazz 2005 after I replaced the clockspring.
The symptom was horn was not working and air bag indicator was on. I used 2
paper clips instead. Thanks for sharing the tip

Makki Taher says:

Very helpful, thanks.

Rachel Hewstone says:

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for your clip… Save me alot of money !!! Just wasnt
sure if you replug the yellow clip.. Again thank u

Kaspar jürgens says:

Hey, on my accord 99 model, it did nothing at all. No blinking, going off.
I have seen many videos and people got help, but in my situation it does
not just apply.
Frustrated, coz I cant get my car through a mechanical check because of
that. So not road legal…
Wonder, what else to look for?

berny817 says:

When I do it on my 97 civic I followed the steps like in the video but when
I touch the wires for the second time the light does not blink it just
stays on. Any idea why?

Antonio Morales says:

Hi can it be done with the yellow cable plugged in?

Nikya Woolboy says:

Thanks man. I unplugged my SRS fuse and then the light came on. Thanks
again.

Bobby Evans says:

I tried this about 5 times and couldn’t get the light off. Then I started
the car up and the light shut off the reset. Specify actually starting car,
not just turn ignition on. But, it did work thanks for the help.

Frank says:

Hi Chris. I have a 2012 Civic sedan. Should there also be a yellow plug in
this model year?

afam okoye says:

NICE ONE THATNKS

Kaspar jürgens says:

RIGHT, I TRIED TO PULL CODES FROM THE BLUE PLUG now, hotwiring it.
Still I get no SRS light blinks, or anything, it just stays on. It shoud
blink the faults if it is faulty, shouldnt it?
As the car has no other faults then others are not blinking either-thats
fine.
Can it be that theSRS unit is not giving any feedback and thats why no
diagnostic blinks or srs light reset is possible?

Gonçalo Teixeira says:

It worked flawlessly in a 97 civic Mb2!
Thank you very much!

Krazy1 says:

after you have done all this do you pull the wires out and plug it back in?
or pull the wires out and leave the plug hanging there?

dragonsoulrider says:

Thanks mate, did the trick!!

Sean M says:

Hello Christian ….. just now I reset my honda car’s SRS light, it’s gone
for now. Hopefully it stays off….. will let you know. thanks.

Bondovia says:

Worked great. Thanks. Nice inset with the SRS light.

Kaspar jürgens says:

Thanks for answering: I used the right plug ( yellow, with two inserts and
two green wires. The plug connects to the fusebox and at the fuse box side
there are no pins.
I used paperclip.

Jenny Ruano says:

Hello I drive a 2009 civic & my driver airbag light wont turn on at all! I
got a new airbag installed along with a module but the light still remains
off it wont turn at all I knows its suppose to turn on when i turn my key

I haven’t actually tried this procedure yet, but I wanted to thank you for
the clarity of your video. I’d found another(How to reset SRS Airbag light
2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 honda civic) prior to finding this one, but
it’s resolution Is of such a low quality that it was basically useless with
regards to locating the yellow plug. Anyway thanks Dude & wish me
luck, cause I’m about to go out & try it on my daughters 2000 Civic(1.6L).

Eric Redgrave says:

Thank You, very cool InFo, for us techie people who work hard, for the CAR.

Isaac makram says:

MrFoxracing19 says:

André Pereira says:

Hi Christian! I’m about to do this procedure, but just want to know what
type of wire is that?

suwei cai says:

as per you, i fixed srs red lights in my honda civic, seemed it worked
well. however, SRS light still on for a second when i ignitated my car.
after two seconds, it disappeared. it is Ok for my car?

Laura Glatz says:

Great video Christian, I am going to try this on my 1995 Honda Accord. My
concern is because this light is always on does this indicate a problem? Or
does it indicate a problem if I cannot get it to go off? I want to make
sure there isn’t a problem with the air bags. Thanks!

Jorge Berruete says:

how about the 2001 honda civic

Csab says:

very good!! i need to do this for my odyssey so basically that yellow
connector dont plug in to nothing right its just sits there in the panel in
the socket right??

Thank you!!

Autobotjackhammer says:

Just saw this video and will try it ,my srs light is driving me nuts

Gabriel Silva says:

Thanks so much for this, Christian.
This worked as desired on an ‘always on’ SRS light.
I believe my light was on due to a battery low voltage condition.
Anyway… that said, thanks again, very much… very helpful.

Rachel Hewstone says:

I’ve just done it and it worked BOO YEAH !!! my next question is do you
replug the yellow cork back in

Jorge Berruete says:

jesse erickson says:

Totally saved my ass! Thanks a million!

Henry Martinez says:

I already did it in 2 cars and worked,, nowI did it in my honda and the
light comes back on after a few seconds, what should I do now…thanks

David Lavezzoli says:

I think this is the best video on Youtube for showing how to reset the SRS
light. I tried it with my 2004 CRV and it worked. I had a code of 21-1
(driver’s tensioner). This procedure cleared the code. Now I’ll have to
wait to see if it comes back. I was hoping it would have come back
immediately. Then I would know what the problem was. Now it might be an
intermittent problem, which is harder to troubleshoot. Anyway, thanks for
making the great video. By the way, what did you use to make the video?
And what software did you use to edit it? I like the arrow and the inset
light.

Ankhaa B says:

hey. on my Honda HR-V /1999/ this is not working, how i reset SRS, can you
help me?

Rachel Hewstone says:

Hi, Will this work on my Honda CR_V sports ?

Faramarz Youssefirad says:

like

Dylan Stassen says:

If worst comes to worst, the gauge cluster is pretty easy to remove and
just pull the bulb for the srs.

momin tariq says:

bag has deployed (passenger side ) so should use ur procedure for the
